I arrived hungry and ready. Inside a small cozy spot with a warm welcoming homey feel, grandmas kitchen. My first time here, and the staff was pleasant in explaining the different types of dishes. I ordered a freshly made watermelon drink to start, it arrives quickly and it was perfectly refreshing - not too sweet. I order the Mole Neigro "Dark Mole", and to my delight it was the perfect spicy note. I was making yummy sounds.... it was that good. It comes with freshly made tortillas, a side of rice, and a salsa cup for additional heat, if needed. My tongue and lips are buzzing with the heat, but I can't stop eating. Sipping my watermelon drink with this delicious mole, I am in a very happy food place right now. This place might look like a hole-in-the-wall, but when I close my eyes while enjoying the food - I am in my grandmas. I see myself dangerously visiting this awesome restaurant multiple times a month. I highly recommend everyone to give this Restaurant a chance, you will not be disappointed. Cash only place!

I celebrated my nomination yesterday in this delicious restaurant. Well we passed a pleasant evening and the restaurant was evidently one of the reasons for that strong celebration. The stuff contributed in a sweet style, the cuisine was tasty and my buddies were extremely pleased. We shall no dout come back again for more joyful events. thanks very much.

I never take the time to review anything, but I want to be honest and help other not to make the same mistake. Husband and I traveled 30 min to try this restaurant, we made our choice based on the reviews and we were very disappointed. Food wasn't good at all. Rice tasted old. Food was cold when it got to our table. We regretted spending our Saturday night at this restaurant. Don't choice this place!

I was expecting something "special". This is not Mexican food as is typically known in Oxnard. The language on the menu (names of dishes) is interesting. The service is good as both Spanish and English is spoken. The food was a bit bland but not bad, just ordinary.
