The roast potatoes lost the final star they were tough as old boots not at all appetising! Shame let down a otherwise excellent lamb Sunday lunch. Making them fresher rather than standing under a hot lamp can’t be that difficult.

Dropped in for some food and pints. The main courses were lovely with some of the nicest battered fish I've had anywhere. The sticky toffee pud was excellent. The crumble was the only disappointment. The apples used in it seemed to be a bit bland

Nice pub that does lovely meals. You can eat in the bar which is dog friendly but we chose the restaurant, where dogs aren't allowed. Friendly staff

Absolutely adore this pub. Its our local and we can always count on the best food, drink and service. We decided to eat last Friday lunchtime and chose the Wollaton Beer Battered Fish and Chips, and we weren't disappointed. Beautifully crisp batter around moist white cod, lovely chips and mushy peas. Well worth a visit if you want 5* comfort food. The staff were great as always too. Many thanks team!

Consistently excellent menu and quality restaurant. Well-stocked bar, with impressive Gin selection and low/Non alcoholic drinks n Mocktails. Great place for large group celebrations, intimate rendezvous and meeting locals. Friendly staff who clearly enjoy their jobs. Worth a visit, even if you're not local.

I must say I was thoroughly impressed. The atmosphere inside was lovely and very cozy along with being very clean. The wait staff were very friendly and food was brought out at a good pace. To top it all off the food was divine. I had the camembert and bread to start which was lovely (and definatley for two) the pork belly which was lovely and crisp and very tender and the sticky toffee pudding for desert which was perfectly sized. Overall incredibly impressed and would recommend.

Only the very fatty pork (out of five different dishes) let down an excellent meal. Service well paced and very friendly, although my sister in law's puppy stole the show in truth - this is a very dog friendly pub, if that's not your thing then there is a dog free restaurant area too.

This place is huge!! It's got plenty if seating and dining areas, and have a really great atmosphere. Even when some pubs may be struggling to get people through the door, this place was still really busy (I've no doubt still a lot quieter than it would like for the time of year though). The fact it was still busy, though, is a testament to what they have. Even outdoors has huge heaters, so no danger of feeling cold. Update (as have now been a 2nd time!). The food is amazing!! So much quality food to choose from, and all presented immaculately. The service was perfect, too. It's definitely worth a visit.

Exceptional Sunday dinner! Always book as this place is really popular and there’s a very good reason why. Excellent service and the food is alway delicious. At £16 for a beef Sunday roast (and extra for sides such as cauliflower cheese) it’s definitely on the pricy side but for a special treat it’s well worth the money. Never a bad experience.

I visited here for the first time on 20 June 21. My partner and I both ordered the vegetarian Sunday lunch: Butternut squash and sweet potato roast with roast potatoes, bashed swede and carrot mash, savoy cabbage, Yorkshire pudding and gravy. Each meal cost £13. There was some slight confusion with the online booking but the Supervisor (the lady with the straight blonde hair and boots) was excellent, she welcomed us and found us a table with zero fuss (thank you!). The app was easy to use for ordering (if you wish to customize your order, simply speak to a staff member). We sat inside and, even though it was very busy, the place is so big, it didn't feel packed. The pub is very comfortable and includes leather sofas. The food was delicious. The vegetarian roast was hearty, the cabbage perfectly cooked, the roast potatoes were super-crunchy and finished with garlic (which worked brilliantly with the rest of the meal). The Yorkshire pudding was perfect, crispy on the outside and velvety in the middle. All credit to the kitchen staff. That they can knock out perfect Sunday lunches to such a large and busy pub is a testament to their skills. Well done. Pro-tip: you have the option to order an extra Yorkshire pudding on the app. Do it! You won't regret it! Also, from what I saw and experienced, the Supervisor is very good at her job. I look forward to visiting again very soon.
