Been many times great pub for drinking. Late yesterday afternoon very quiet and ate there for first time. Bar staff friendly. Hunters chicken inedible, stringy, tough, no sauce, chips had been standing and reheated and were not good. Complained and told would speak to 'chef' but no feedback. Ordered crisps as not eaten they said they are on the house! So £11.75 for a bag of crisps! Won't eat there again.

We nipped in for lunch on good Friday, haven't been in there for quite a while. Staff were great and the food was good. Both of us decided on the scampi & fries with garden peas. Although some people would say the portions are a bit small it was just right for us. I liked the skin-on fries and the blackened lemon was a nice touch. The ales are Castle Rock and a good range from IPAs to ruby reds. It can get a bit busy when the footballs on.

The best quality Vs price food in Nottingham. Lovely sandwiches with fresh ingredients and lovely chips. Great friendly service and atmosphere. Go here for a proper quality British pub experience without silly prices.

An issue with some of our food was dealt with promptly and courteously by Manager James, who was very understanding, and gave a full refund to 4 of our table. Top Manager. Table service by Lena was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for her. I recommend the Gammon or Cumberland sausage dishes, very tasty and a good price, 4 stars given for these dishes.

Fantastic little boozer, staff friendly and welcoming, food outstanding,and service with a smile, and happy at 4 till 7, we will be back up to Nottingham soon, and this place will be our first port of call. Keep it up folks you were superb 👍

Traditional city centre pub In Nottingham. Serving two ales from navigation brewery and also serving standard pub grub. It’s really What you’d expect from a city centre pub no frills but serves its purpose well. Friendly staff. Recommended if in the centre of Nottingham and after a swift beverage 🍻

Had a wonderful sunday roast. The roast tasted local and I also enjoyed some chicken satay skewers, too.
They have a huge TV at the back of the pub - great view for World Cup. The staffs are lovely and kind enough to let me try a sip of the ale with an interesting name before buying a pint.

Lovely place to have a drink. It has a very friendly atmosphere, staff is really lovely and friendly. I felt welcomed and I enjoyed my Guinness that was poured with lots of care. I must say is one of the best I have tasted lately. I have to come back!!!
