Bush Pepper

When holidaying in Cornwall the bush pepper should be a top tier priority your list. There are many things to enjoy on the menu but in my opinion you must always try something new. For example their kangaro was such a unusual but delicious dish. It doesn't have that gamey beefy iron taste to it, so you really can season it however you like. The menu said it was Cajun but I felt it lacked that spicy element. The port and red wine reduction was lovely. And the sweet potato wedges really complimented the kangaroo. My wings were fall apart melt in your mouth. However, it said it was BBQ flavour I think it needed a bit more of a smokey depth to it. The sauce felt a little confused. But still delicious. The people who served us were a delight Jasmine and Sian. Two sweet & Stella servers who make all the correct check backs at the appointed time. They had great banter. They really did look after us. Check backs really mean alot to me as a customer and you can always tell if they are genuine. The portion sizes as you can see are spot on. Just an all round amazing time. The owner must be proud.

The food and service was great- such a cosy, warm and friendly atmosphere as well. I had the mushroom linguine and my partner had the kangeroo- they were both so good. You also get a complimentary shot of the owners homemade baileys which was so tasty that we bought a big bottle of it to take home with us😍 Definitely recommend!

My boyfriend and I came to Bush Pepper for dinner and drinks whilst on a mini break in Newquay and were extremely pleased. Delicious Cornish seafood, lovely atmosphere and friendly staff especially Sam who was particularly attentive (and the owner makes his own Baileys which was amazing!) If you come to Newquay, you have to come to Bush Pepper.

I had the pleasure of dining at Bush Pepper restaurant in Newquay and it was truly a lovely experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with smiles and although they were fully booked and we had no reservation they managed to accommodate us. I had the steak, it was cooked perfectly and my husband (a chef himself) had the sea bass and it went in a matter of minutes!!! I highly recommend paying a visit to Bush Pepper for a culinary experience that will leave you wanting more. Thank you Sam and Maisie for your wonderful service and to the lovely owner who took the time to talk to us and check that we enjoyed everything!!

Cane upon this restaurant by chance, and it is a winner Tastefully decorated Food is excellent, as is the wine. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Our waitress, Darcy, was a joy. I would strongly recommend that you book in advance as this place is busy. I will certainly be coming back for more 😁 Highly recommended

My husband and I had an amazing evening here. Lovely atmosphere, with great background music. Staff are welcoming and attentive and the food is delicious. We had scallops and kangaroo scotch egg to start which were both incredible. Followed by kangaroo steak and katsu hake - the flavours and jus added to the dishes are a taste sensation. The end of the meal is greeted with a shot of the owners homemade Baileys. Oh my, I could have drank a bottle of it! Absolutely salute the owner for his creation, now pleeeese find a way to sell this online so I can buy it. Sadly it only lasts for a week and although you can buy it to take home, I want it for future enjoyment 😉 Our waitress Darcy was lovely and a special call out to Sam - although he never served us, he came by to see everything was OK and does a great job of letting you know you can buy 2 sizes of the homemade Baileys for a good price. 👍 really great guy. Would definitely recommend a booking here, it's amazing.

This place is amazing. We were welcomed by the staff and they were very kind and professional. The place was clean, the service was great and the food was delicious. I have never experienced such a high level customer service in a restaurant in the UK. I asked them for a candle on the pudding for my partner's birthday, and they delivered along with the birthday song. Would 100% recommend visiting and enjoying their delicious food!

We visited for my birthday dinner and absolutely loved it. The service was amazing and the food was even better! We had our 8 month old baby with us and the team was very accommodating and friendly. They kept checking up on us and interacting with our son and constantly kept helping us clean up his mess 😅 Especially Jasmine! Thank you for such an amazing birthday dinner Oh! Least I forget - the homemade Baileys shot was to die for! Loved it
