Debra's Pizza

I ordered pizza prior to the pandemic and it was always great. But as things started to lift and Open back up I ordered it, it did not taste good at all. The crust was extra crispy. My boyfriend called it pizza crackers. I don't ever remember it being so crispy. I just remembered a light airy homemade type of crust.

Inadvertently found Debra's and am so glad we did. We will definitely be back!!! Was not busy to sit and eat inside and the order did not take long at all. Kids all loved it and we're happy. The pizza salads and spaghetti were big hits. A large salad could feed the whole table fyi....good but way more than was in expected. Pizza was among the best in town! The spaghetti with the garlic butter and meatballs was a kid favorite. Definitely check it out if your in the area. And if you like old Newark history the building and decor are for you!

Twice I got a half baked pizza. The first time I let it go. Second time I called to complain and asked to speak to a manager and I was told " We don't have a manager and their pizza is "never under cooked", then she hung up on Mr. Personally I would never by a pizza from them. Used to be the only place I bought pizza from. Never again!!

A staple in the Hudson Avenue area. Debra's has been here for quite a few years, providing quality service with a smile. Good crispy crust pizza that isn't too greasy is hard to find but Debra's makes it very well. The experience and food are both highly rated in my opinion and have continued to go to this small business for more years than I can count. Will definitely return for more pizzas.

Poor Quality. High Prices. I don't mind paying more for good food. But when you place an order you expect to get what you ordered. Ordered a sub with extra dressing with all dressing on the side. Got a dry sub. Ordered specific toppings. Got a sub with meat, cheese and onions. Too many other places to order from in Newark and I've given Debra's plenty of chances.

After being on the road most of the day, we stopped by for a slice and some wings and wow, we were blown away by the quality of the food... Not to mention the service was absolutely amazing. My mom is a picky eater but even she loved it and while she particularly enjoyed the cauliflower, everything else was delicious as well. We'll definitely be back next time we're in town! Excellent prices, delicious food and fast service makes Debra's Pizza a must try spot! Awesome place and would definitely recommend!
