Used my second account to be able to post a second review. Ordered from Grubhub again because I am at work and cannot afford time to drive there. Now besides the ugly portions. There’s literally a hair visible in one of my bowls. The lack of quality control is disgusting. They replied to me quickly last review and sent me a voucher code for a meal there. I’ll have to order elsewhere from work now. And I’ll save that code to see my bowl made in person.

Out of 10 poke places that I have tried. My frequent one is still this one. Never one time the fish is not fresh. I love this place so much that when my sf friends came to visit last weekend, I ordered this for four of us. Also ordered this at a gathering of 6 a month ago. Never disappointed every time! Workers here are nice and polite.
This place is generous to give you lots of topping for free when other poke places charges you.
I really have nothing to complain about this place.

Ordered two bowls on Grubhub from this location. 18 dollars each bowl. THEY ARE EACH 1/3 filled. I have like 4 pieces of chicken and 3 pieces of cucumber. This is pathetic they didn’t even try to hide how much they stole.

Came to check the reviews today after having a bowl at Pokeworks yesterday and left wondering if it was just me thinking the portions are miserable.
I noticed this is a wide spread perception: very little fish/protein in the bowls (the app says "2 proteins" but there was barely one) and extremely slow service (20 mins/bowl kinda slow). If you go further south on Castro, on the corner of Church, you can find a much better poke/sushi restaurant which is fast and serves legitimate portions of fish.
Pokeworks has a great app, which induced me to order and try but - sorry - I was seriously disappointed and, given the amount of almost unanimous feedback, the manager/owner should really do something about it.
I won't be back.

Giving 2/5 sice my bowl was like 1/4 air. There’s so many better places for the price of $16

Used to frequent this location. Placed an online order for 8pm arrived a few early and told to wait, no issues as I was happy to wait. Took until 8:45 to get my order. I could have supported a small sit down business in less time. 45minutes for a pre order....
Only one employee was making orders, another doing dishes and another went on break 20min into me waiting. While i have no issues with the staff, management need....manage. if dishes need to be done so be it, but when 15 people are waiting a sense of urgency to any degree would be appreciated. portions are small and my last sushirito falling apart.
Don't waste your time or money.

Poke works is a great company that caters to the everyone. The food is always great and the service is always top-notch. If there's anything negative to say, it's that they give too much food :)

Anyone like cold chicken and water in a cup??
This place is HORRIBLE. The atmosphere is the only positive part about it. You walk in and it seems modern and nice, you order on a convenient touchscreen, and then your heart sinks when the food comes.
Just start with the chopsticks. Cheap chopsticks. Then the drink. Warm sprite. Cant even cool this overpriced ($3 for a normal bottle drink - more than Disneyland probably) bottled soda. Then the food: the pressed spicy tuna sushi and a poke bowl. The pressed sushi is creative? not really sushi? but I felt ok about it until I put it in my mouth. OUCH! So spicy. There a whole jalapeño slice on top. The poke bowl was… scary. Ice cold unseasoned chicken and I know poke is raw fish but man that salmon is still swimming with potential FDA violations. Like why did it taste… crunchy??? Good quality raw fish is SMOOTH.
And the miso. The miso deserves a whole own paragraph so here it is. I love miso soup. I have a great affinity for it. But that was. And there it was. Murky water with floating green onions and strangely cut tofu. I felt like I needed to interrogate it for it’s crimes.
Don’t go here. I beg you.
