The Smithy

I have been to The Smithy two times since moving to Easton a few months ago. The Rib Eye steak was super tender and delicious! And the baked potato was just perfect. The staff could not be more helpful and friendly. The interior is a bit vintage but if you are looking for great flavor and strong value in a no-frills kind of way, The Smithy ROCKS!

As a former employee of the Smithy, I can proudly say that this establishment is by far one of the most delicious and the hospitality is like no other! Give it a try and you’ll see why I love it so much! The owner, Maureen is so sincere and cares so much about her employees, regulars, and ALL customers who walk through the door! Always accommodates to meet customers needs. The atmosphere is romantic yet family friendly at the same time. The salad bar in addition to a steak/ seafood meal is SO yummy! If you haven’t tried the Smithy, you are truly missing out!

This was my first time going to The Smithy. Outstanding service, our waitress was Marybeth, she was outstanding. Overall, I would rate the entire experience a 4 out of 5. The meal itself , my filet mignon and baked potato were hands down a 5 out 5! The cheese board put out in the beginning really should be spruced up quite a bit. Packages of saltine crackers to take with the cheese? Should have a much better presentation with specialty crackers, the cheese was in a serving bowl 🥣, just a really poor set up. Salad Bar was excellent, need some improvements on the bread at the end, it was definetly not fresh, other than that the experience was a positive one,

Were we told to get the best steak in Monroe we need to go to smithy. We knew it looked like an old school place but wow we didn’t realize how much of a nod to the 70’s it really was!! It was def “cozy” with all the windows closed and lit by fake lantern light. The food was good and portion size were good as well but it was very simple and didn’t have a lot of flavor. I guess I used to a modern style steak but if you are looking for a throw back restaurant this is definitely the place to go. The service was excellent and extremely friendly and made us feel welcomed
