Waffle House

I typically look forward to Waffle House for breakfast when traveling in the south. The staff is usually super friendly and the food is fast and tasty. This location was the first bad Waffle House experience I’ve had. The staff was grumpy and on each other’s backs constantly. My eggs were cold and still runny. My waitress rejected at least 6 coffee mugs before finding one clean enough to pour my coffee. The shift supervisor was chucking dirty dishes around so hard the counter shook. Needs some help.

The food was good. I enjoy Waffle House this was my first visit at this one. Had gotten blood work done before and not eaten or drank anything. 3 hours before the doctor appointment so a friend and I went to the closest to get something to eat. They were not really busy for 8 in the morning and about 6-7 people working. They took our order quickly but we did not get our drinks til after we got our food. Also usually they are always checking to see if you want more coffee but I had to ask when I could get someone’s attention. If they’d been busier and fewer people I’d understand. I can’t complain about the food and won’t but the service needs help

When we got there the floors and tables were dirty. Our shoes would stick to the floor every time we walked on it. Then the waitress brought our silverware out in her hands, it wasn’t even wrapped in a napkin. She laid them down on a napkin slowly and was touching them on the part where we would eat from. When we finished some of our plates she brought a trash can to our table and scrapped the food off in the trash while we were still eating. The food wasn’t bad but I think the place would have more business if they practiced cleanliness. We will not eat here again.
