Cardigan Donuts

In town for a conference, we tried a donut on the second day, and it became a daily habit for the remainder of the trip. I will say they have the best donuts I have ever had in my entire life. It will never happen, but if I was on death row and had to pick a final meal, I would have a dozen of these donuts.

Wow! One of my favorite donut shops now after my first time here and I LOVED the coffee cake donut the most! I also really liked the chocolate iced sprinkled cake donut and the caramel delight. They had four pans of donuts left when I arrived in the mid afternoon, but still plenty of variety which I appreciated a lot. The place was very clean and the barista/ cashier did an excellent job making my drink and was very friendly and welcoming. I’ve already recommended this place to multiple friends and relatives!

I have been meaning to try Cardigan Donuts for quite some time, but every time I am about to order, I stop myself. Today I finally pulled the trigger and ordered a dozen for delivery, and oh man am I happy I did. So far I've tried the caramel delight, and the pumpkin pie old fashioned, both of which were absolutely stupendous! The apple pie and apple fritter/cinnamon sugar ones are beautiful looking, and the basic raised glazed/glazed old fashioned/boston cream donuts looks remarkable as well. These may be the best donuts I've ever had in my life. I'm really impressed. It's a bit pricey (roughly $29 for a dozen donuts), but you get what you pay for, so I thought it was totally worth it. I strongly suggest giving them a try, and I will definitely order again (just not too often or I'll get even fatter than I already am!!).

Placed an online order with ease and the staff were incredibly friendly when I picked it up. Their store is quite spacious with modern aesthetics which I enjoyed. Plenty of space for dining inside and so many different donut flavor varieties. The pumpkin pie cruller was absolutely divine! Every other donut I got for my family was also delicious, and we plan to come again when in Minneapolis.

Great donuts at a cozy yet modern interior. It has a bit of the 70s retro feel but they pull it off in a contemporary way. The store is on the 2nd floor of the City Center plaza that is connected to the Marriott. It's sad to see most storefront empty or shut down but Cardigan is running strong. The donuts are fresh and soft. They pull off all the fundamental types well: the old fashioned, cake, as well as the glazed. With great dough, you really can't go wrong regardless of the format. The donuts themselves are not too sweet which is awesome. And yes, those with the bacon bits on top somehow meld well with the rest of the cream and bread. Overall, an all-rounder A-level shop. I wouldn't consider this the absolute very best donuts. But definitely 5 stars based on price, atmosphere, and the value they provide.

Best service best donuts! They make the very best blueberry donuts ever. Their old fashion are super good also, plus they always have unique creations to try. Today we had raspberry lime. Cardigan Donuts is the perfect balance of comfort and innovation. Love how friendly and beautiful the atmosphere is too. This place is a must for everyone.
