Chilango Expresss

I love this place! I eat here at least once a week, and it's always delicious. Their corn tortillas always taste amazing, and the barbacoa de Res (chunky beef), and chicharrones (I'm guessing I didn't spell that right, but it's pork skin in a mild red sauce) are always juicy. Their sauces are good and spicy. The rice is nice and fluffy, and their chips and salsa is a treat. Their tamales and chimichangas are also phenomenal. The service is good, even when it's busy. This place is a staple in my weekly diet, and comfort food after a hard week of work. I'm thankful for it's existence. I would also like to add that my significant other has a seeing eye dog, and they were accommodating, which is very important for folks in the blind community.

I think the server was new. I'd ordered the chiles rellenos dinner and to my surprise was told that it came with 3. I then ordered the fillings and sauces. A bit later, I was informed that the dinner only came with 2 chiles. No harm done. My meal was still delicious. During my meal, I'd noticed I didn't have flatware, and the server apologized. It happens even on a slow day. You get plenty of chips and salsa. I'd still go back with my other half because the food is scummy, the tortillas are handmade, the food is authentic, and the location is near our home. I'd have added photos, but I was too hungry!

I have gone to Chilango Express multiple times and each time was better than the last. My husband and I ate there last night - I got the Chilango Dinner extra meat and my husband got the Sope. First off the amount of food you get is insane, the extra meat was such a great price, the guacamole (wow) - not sure if made to order but it was the freshest guacamole I've had all summer. Overall an amazing restaurant to eat at! highly recommend!
