Sugar Maple

Well this was a delightful surprise! I attended a themed pop up here and it is absolutely charming. There is an incredible selection of beer and liquor. They even have quite a few mixed drinks available. All of the staff was absolutely wonderful even the guy checking IDs at the door had a smile on his face. It is cozy, comfy, and bright inside. I don't know why there's this trend of painting the interior of bars "stage black" but I'm glad sugar maple has bucked that trend. If I find myself near Milwaukee fancying myself a drink I will definitely make a return visit!

I've gone here a few times to hang out with friends and when they had a themed art show. Location is fairly spacious and there are big tables to hang out with friends. However, the major downside is that there's no food here so you have to grab food next door or around the area if you get hungry while drinking. Sometimes they have a food truck which is extra nice, but there's also seating outdoors. Easy access from the bus lines and street parking is easy and free after 6pm. I liked the vibe a lot and will definitely come back soon!

The drinks are a little pricey compared to dive bars but this place is super cute and they have thc cocktails! I don’t like drinking much so this was a nice surprise. We went during the avatar event and the place was soooo nicely decorated. I hope they have more themed events to go to! Vibes were immaculate.

I coordinated directly with the owner to host a birthday party here for my husband. The fees to host there were very reasonable, and we were able to bring in our own food. We also had a diverse group of people, including infants, and some younger children. This environment was perfect for our group. I would definitely recommend and we will definitely be back.

One of my favorite spots in Milwaukee. Large draft beer selection and cocktails. They also have a THC infused and n/a cocktail menu. Perfect place to grab a drink with a group or play a board game - large tables for big groups. Or sit at the bar in their cozy stools. Nice ambience with the music low enough to talk to your friends.
