Thai Rainbow

Service was so rude! We just moved to this town, looking for something good so we stumbled upon this restaurant. Being that they close at 9pm, we called at 8:30pm and they didn’t want to take any to go orders. That was completely fine, we’ll try another day. Today we stopped by. The young server lady was so rude. She asked if we were ordering for here or togo, my husband said for togo, then she went straight to the kitchen without saying anything. We thought she’s coming back but we were waiting for awhile! We ordered 4 things (fried rice, seafood soup, papaya salad and sticky rice). But I asked her if we can eat the sticky rice at the restaurant, the 3 others are for togo. Seems like she didn’t like it what we said. The table we sat at didnt have anything, no water, no napkins! When she brought the sticky rice out, we asked for napkins, she ignored it. Twice, we asked, she ignored….again while she was standing so close to us!!!!! Later then we were done with the dish, she brought out the togo food and…… napkins…..We did tip $8 tho and the restaurant wasn’t that busy at all…..

The food was pretty good but there was very little chicken in my Drunken Noodles and none in my Tom Cha soup as listed on the menu. This is 3rd time I've ordered the soup and it came with no meat despite choosing it when ordering and it's in the listing. Not sure why bit the food quality has changed in the last 6 months. Not as good.

I was coming into Baltimore on a Sunday evening flight, staying in Middle River, and had to get up early the next day for a meeting. Just by my lucky stars did I notice Thai Rainbow just across the street from my hotel – with honestly no other dining options around (other than Subway). Seemed like an odd location for a restaurant, but there were several others already there so I figured it must be worth a try. One of the best decisions I ever made. The restaurant was very clean, well furnished and decorated, and the hostess accommodating. My standard gauge for Thai restaurants is Pad Thai so that was my order. It wasn’t the absolute best I had ever had, but it was still fantastic. I was a little unsure at first because it was served so quickly – but it was served hot and fresh and so good! I would return a couple of other nights during my week there, not for a lack of other eating options but because I was looking forward to it. I also order the Yellow Curry and the Massaman – again, both were great! I would say that the biggest challenge for this place was the location (kind of out there), but I was surprised and how many take out orders were rolling through while I was there – so they must be doing something right. Most dishes are very reasonably priced around $12 per plate. Looking forward to my next stay in Middle River.

I have never written a review before but this was too much. I ordered pad thai with chicken which was ok until I got to the middle and found a long hair in my food. I know it’s not my hair because my hair is in a bun and it’s curly. Needless to say I will never return. If your cooks are not using hair nets they SHOULD!

The WORST Thai food I ever ate !!! Half filled Quart containers with Duck skin instead of ACTUAL Duck Meat for $17...These guys are Comedians !!!!. My Soup was horrible. I was so annoyed I will NEVER EAT THIS GARBAGE ever again!!!!! $60 total for food we both hated. Ive been eating Thai food for decades. This was utter garbage ! If I didnt have to drive 6 miles I would have drove back demanded a refund and thrown this rubbish in a garbage can where it belongs !
