Incredibly cool place in the old city. Pretty much stepping back to a time where service was the key to success. This place is a must see in the area. I mean seriously, how can you go to Mesquite, TX without going to Mesquite BBQ. This place is iconic. The plate lunches are definitely more than filling. Great sized portions, incredible tastes and the ambience and service are off the charts. This place has one of the most deliciously smokey flavors that I've tried. You will definitely leave feeling like you've won the food lotto. Enjoy your BBQ, then you have to give these folks a try.

Amazing barbecue joint in Mesquite. really friendly service, and good portion. We ordered the three meat platter and it filled up two guys.
also loved the decor inside, very retro. I especially recommend the mac & cheese. So creamy and tasty. for me the highlight is the ribs and the brisket.

Absolutely amazingly delicious Ribs and sides. Was feeling a little famished after heading to the Mesquite gun show, which wasn't really worth driving to and happened to drive up to this gem of a place. It's very old-timey and no frills kind of restaurant/smoke house. Which is exactly what made me and Wifey want to try it. Usually the flashy ones are not the best. The staff was so welcoming and kind, I asked for the biggest rack of ribs available and went to town. I do not regret anything after that. All of the dishes were just to die for flavorful and scrumptious as if grandma herself was preparing them. I will return no doubt soon to stuff my face with deliciousness in the near future. If you're in Mesquite, don't make the mistake to skip this gem. You'll regret it!

Super yummy BBQ and employees were nice and friendly. Couldn't finish our meals because there was so much food, it was delicious!

Was referred by a friend who grew up around here and said it has always been one of the best kept secrets ind DFW… he was not wrong. Juicy (but not greasy!) brisket and perfectly smoked ribs. Some of the best green beans I’ve had and well done mac. Worth the trip and I will be back!

I really like this restaurant and highly recommend it. The barbecue is very tasty. They use Hickory would to smoke the meat. The deserts are excellent. Everybody working there was nice.
The tables were clean. We walked away without overly smelling like a BBQ pit.

I’ve heard so many good things about this place, so I finally tried it… I’ll never do that again. The brisket was cooked okay, but was super salty. The baked potato casserole had so much pepper in it, that all I could taste was pepper. The fried okra wasn’t seasoned at all. The potato salad was nothing special. I just can’t understand what all the hype is about, when literally everything we got was not good.

It was good BBQ, just not great. We had 2 rib plates and a 3 meat plate with the brisket, chop chop and sausage. We tried the baked beans, potato salad, Cole slaw and macaroni. The side were flavorful as was the meats, however the ribs and brisket both had too much fat on them which made for a very unpleasant experience.
