Sizzler

Awesome steaks. Awesome yeast rolls. Awesome salad bar. Below average desserts. Service can be hit and miss. Clean. Efficient. Not enough televisions. Lots of windows. Booth Seats are placed uncomfortably close to the tables. Would recommend table seating. Restrooms are clean. Overall a great place to have a high quality steak and seafood. Skip the low quality desserts.

I always heard this place was for geriatrics and pediatrics. I was a little surprised that such a bumpin joint for the ol'folk does not serve alcohol. I thought about giving it a 3 star review but our server laughed at our cheesy jokes and we got a whole pineapple from the "All-you-can-eat" buffet. I feel like there should be a Jimmy Buffet song about this. Heck, this place is so chill you can throw a cantelope clear across the restaurant and no one cares. 5 Stars for customer service. 2 Stars for food. They ran out of mash potatoes but still had baked potatoes... not sure how that works.

Exploring Mesa led us to Sizzler on Country Club Drive. Being from the northeast, we weren't sure what to expect. All we knew was that we were hungry and a little bit parched. What a nice oasis of food and drink we discovered. I ordered a steak in the mid-price range, which was cooked to perfection and delicious to boot. It was a positive dining experience, and when we're out west again we'll probably drop back in, knowing that good things lie ahead next time around. 5 out of 5 on the yum scale.
