Happy As Larry

A cute little space with indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor space has a kids corner filled with toys and a cubby. It is outdoor but shaded well from the wind/rain/sun. Menu is great, lots of options. Kids menu had a few varieties as well. The front display is filled with goodies and wraps top. Toilets onsite as well as change facilities and highchairs. Street parking. No outside food was permitted.

Coffee is great - the food is absolutely awful. Cold stale toast, oily and rubbery hash brown, and the sausages were just gross. The butter served up for two pieces of toast was about half a teaspoon. The play area for the kids is entertaining and well thought out, but that unsecured lane way where they can simply run down and get to the car park and dumpsters leaves a question mark over my head.

Friendly staff, but the seating was less comfortable than sitting on concrete blocks. Excellent coffee and poached eggs, but the toast was hard and dry and the paltry amount of butter supplied didn't make it any easier to cut through with the virtually useless knife. The hash brown was tasteless and barely warm.

I was so excited to see what the new owners had done to this little cafe, this morning my daughter and I turned up for breakfast. The fresh OJ was yum along with my Shishuka brekkie however things turned bad real fast as they serve it with very little bread to dip the sauce in; I kindly for an extra slice of grain toast only to be charged a whole $5.99 for one tune single slice of bread. I can buy a whole loaf for $5 at Safeway. Greedy owners really disappoint me as there is no value in this type of bad hospitality.
