The Rendezvous

2nd time I've been here. Absolutely love it! My son and I went while on a mini vacation. My late father told me about it. We got the ribs to share and it came with beans and slaw. The slaw is vinegar based just so you know. My son didn't like it but I did. Lol. You enter through an alley way and it looks small but when you're in there, you can walk around and you'll see the place is a lot bigger than you think. Anyway, I highly recommend the ribs. They were DELICIOUS!

I thought i knew BBQ, and I live in St.Louis. Little to my surprise we found the best barbecue here in a secret alleyway. The Ribs were the most tender and well seasoned I have ever eaten. This place is heaven. It's also been here since 1948 if that says anything. Cory was an amazing server and quite funny. My mom was in love with this man. Amazing. We will be back for more ribs, rub, and amazing sauce. I am sad I didn't have another rack.

This is a wonderful BBQ place the ribs were delicious with just a little little pull on bone but still juicy and tender the coleslaw was wonderful with I believe a mustard base. They didn't mess around because the service was very fast and friendly. I would call this the birthplace of Menphis BBQ this is a bucket list stop for anyone with a love of grilling or smoked food.

I've had barbecue all over the world. Well, I've had barbecue in most places that are known for barbecue. Rendezvous dry rub baby back ribs are the nest dry rub ribs without a doubt. The texture, perfect. The whole seasoning and combined ground seasoning, Perfect. The bark, perfect. The bite, perfect. 10/10 Potato salad 6.8/10 Beans 9.4/10 Cole slaw. I could write a novella about this coleslaw, but I'll keep it short and helpful. Its a slightly spice slaw with a vinegar base. It opens up the palate and nasal cavity like horseradish, but has that cooling effecting which pairs perfectly with BBQ with a slight kick. My only complaint is the serving size because I could house a half-gallon of this stuff in one sitting.

Being from Texas I’m not new to barbecue. Up here it is different for sure. I got the ribs with brisket. The ribs were not fall off the bone but were seasoned very well. I enjoyed them. The brisket was tender and juicy. It came with a small cup of beans and slaw. The beans were fantastic and the slaw was different but very tasty. I enjoyed the atmosphere and our waiter was great. It’s worth checking out for sure.

Run, don’t walk here. This place is excellent. I am on my third day of trying to find good barbecue in Memphis and this by far is the best so far I got the brisket and ribs at the suggestion of the waiter. It was fantastic, so are the sides. Food was served in record time the restaurants awesome and really cute. The price was very reasonable and the serving size plentiful. Many of us took a bag home as we had a lot of extra food.

Had a great experience at Rendezvous. We came for lunch and sat right away. Great service , ribs were good , not amazing or great but solid good ribs! Brisket good! Nachos were okay - little too salty for me. Take dessert home. The little pied were good! Pecan & chocolate - yum. ×Don't pay to park in structure. Find free parking across the street.

July 6, 2023 Took a quick day trip to Memphis to meet up with my youngest son and his sweet girlfriend. All of our meals were delicious, the meats were perfectly seasoned. I didn't get to snap a picture of the sausage/cheese appetizer because we dug into it immediately, DEFINITELY a must order! YUM! Just FYI - We did walk down stairs to dine. The Greek salad was super scrumptious! Located across from Peabody Hotel in alley.
