Fantastic Sunday morning breakfast. Polite staff. Menu is strict so no swaps or changes allowed. Toilets are outdoor hits and may not be to everyone's comfort. Plenty of retail to purchase too so worth a trip. Children's play area on site. Recommended

Hidden popular cafe / pie shop was a great stop for lunch, just off the a46. Not suitable for motorbikes as the drive is a steep single road gravel track off the main road. Plenty of space indoor and outdoors with great views across the valley with a large kids play area to one side. Food: the pie was packed with good quality meat and proper gravy on the side, the ploughman's was a massive plate, tasted great although needed another slice of cheese for me, personally. Worth the price due to the quality/quantity of meat in the pie (£11.50 for pie and chips and peas) We also took home cakes & sausage rolls for our tea. Which were also good. Staff: while friendly and polite they all hid behind the counter/ at the back. Menus were tucked away rather than at tables / as you walk in so as a new customer it was unclear how to order food. They are missing out by not having a drinks fridge in the shop floor.

Best place ever, so friendly, remember faces, such good customer service, The food is out of this world always hot, correct and tasty, this is my favourite place to eat and get away from the world, when i go here im so relaxed and all my life worries just seem simpler, good family vibe an all round grear place whether its for a snack and coffee, romatic afternoon tea or family treat for breakfast/lunch or dinner this place has it covered. This is a pic of the lovely afternoon tea we was able to have during lockdown when the company adapted brilliantly to ensure customers could still enjoy their favourite things.

Went last Thursday found it easy lovely place. Three of us all loved the pies shame that they only have fries. Mash potato would be much better as not everyone like’s fries. Pie mash much better. Will be going again and just have the pie and gravy

We were looking for tea rooms/farm shops to visit & we love a good pie, I went with the chicken, white wine & tarragon and hubs decided on the steak and horse radish. Absolutely delicious, the meat melted in the mouth, the pies were very well filled, pastry was fabulous, the best pies we’ve had in ages, highly recommend & we’ll definitely be back to try the other flavours.

Found this place on route from Ab Kettleby and popped in for a bacon butty, and bought a sausage roll and a bakewell tart too. All delicious. Fab little place with outdoor seating overlooking the countryside. They also have a wonderful deli and offer afternoon teas - available to take away. It's a bit out of my way but think I'll have to go back and try one of their award winning pies 😊
