We selected the Akaiito Kojin Menu which consisted of 7 courses across 2.5 hours. It sure did not disappoint, each course was balanced and delicious with the short rib Angus topping the charts. Soft & beautiful ambience with an open space kitchen to admire. Will come back again!

Went here with a couple of mates for a catchup. We got the feed me menu they had the regular on and I had the vegetarian. We drank a fee beers and whiskeys - they have a decent Japanese collection. My favorite was the charcoal broccoli, it was unique and tasted awesome.

Quiet night (upstairs), but great service as a result from Charles and the chef. Degustation was an intriguing and delicious exploration of Japanese flavours. Highlights included a savoury charcoal and ikura macaron, a gorgeous miso black cod, and amazake icecream. Restaurant itself is intimate, and I had a good view of the open kitchen. Will definitely be returning in the future!

Never again! I don’t usually give 1 star but this restaurant I wish I can give zero star. Rude unwelcome staff with no service. Kojin menu $145 pp I am expecting some decent food, but turns out way below average food. BURNT fish skin on way overcooked toothfish, I tried to have a little bite on the skin as I thought may be they purposely charred it or maybe it is seaweed, but turns out it was burnt, total burnt, bitterly, uneatable fish skin. That bitterly taste is still in my throat even after hours. So surprised that they charge this money and don’t quality check their dishes. Entrees were served in a rush, but then long long wait for the mains/robatayaki. Well…$145 pp for this food quality and service, never again, there are heaps restaurants around can do better.

The food was nice, to be expected for $110 pp. I was slightly hungry after we left and the whole experience took 2.5 hrs, which was a lot of time to be waiting around for food. People with a hunger for fine-dining and japanese fusion will enjoy. Nice ambience.

We had the 10 course set menu, the staff were awesome, in particular the very enthusiastic waiter who gave us the run down of every dish. We did however have bones in our fish, which was met with an apology, no complimentary drink or a slight discount. That aside the food was very delicious. I fine dine quite often and must say that I don't believe the drinks are worth the price, usually if the cocktails are small they are quite strong, I did not incur this. Overall an expensive night that was justified with delicious food and great service. I am delighted I tried it out, but won't be rushing back, as you can get better value and amazing fine dining elsewhere.

Came here for Mother’s Day. The food was good, a little over priced for what it was. My husband and I fine dine a lot and in all honesty they couldn’t offered more and the food could’ve had more flavour. However the service was good.

Staff were knowledgeable about their dishes, was a fun dining experience. Food came out fairly quickly for a set menu. Great experience overall.
