Monkey Bar

When I was working near Monkey Bar, my team and I would eat in or get take away at least 3 times a week from there. It’s the usual customer service you get when you go to most Asian restaurants so we differently didn’t go there for that. The noodles… The noodles was amazing. The ratio between meat and noodles was perfect. Back then I would highly recommend this place. It’s been approximately one year since I’ve stepped back in due to changing jobs and moving to the other end of the city. So today, I thought I would make the effort and go in. So I called to place my order to avoid the long wait. To my surprise, it was under new management with a new menu and increased prices. I ended ordering 7 meals for our group. Manly consist of noodles dishes. Not sure how they calculated their prices but they all worked out to be the same prices $13.80. Even the ones which has extra seafood. Anyways, I didn’t mind too much about the prices as I was excited to get my chop sticks wet (people with dirty minds, this aren’t it lol) I took the first bite and OMG, it was crap. It tasted like something I would cook. The noodles were over cooked, my meat was over cooked and the sauce was really disappointing. In my dish, I requested to have Bok Choy. While mining through the mushy noodles and rock hard meat, I located my Bok Choy. It seems that they used a fine grater. No word of a lie, I found roughly 3 pieces just larger than a grain of rice. Usually I would demolish my meals and make my plate look like it just came out of the dishwasher but not in this case. I can say that I will not be going back.
