Rossini

Well what a disappointment, after living in Malvern for over 30 years we revisited Rossini for a family dinner. After having to stand up and ask for service at the bar for both drinks and to order our meal we pretty much felt like we were an inconvenience. Especially for a Tuesday night which was not busy. Needless to say we will not be back. $400 for a table of 6 (2 which were children) it was an expensive trip down memory lane. We’ll head to our Bayside favourite from now on. Back to hospitality school for Rossini.

Friends have raved on about this traditional Italian pizza and pasta restaurant in Malvern so we thought we'd give it a shot. Food was good as was the service and the staff was nice and friendly. Being both BYO and licensed is also handy. However, unfortunately the prices are a little on the high side and my guess is that this negative will put many off.

Food was fine, service was fine but.... I know it's been tough for places like this but there are currently checkin laws, QR codes to scan and vaccination records to view prior to seating. If you want to feel safe this is probably not the place to go at present due to the hit and miss check in process that we saw.

Ordered a Gluten-free ham and pineapple on Uber Eats. The pizza cost $36 so I assume you would be awesome. I have nothing against paying for good quality food. But, they sent me a subpar pizza with that “fake” shoe string looking ham and canned pineapples on an average base. I could’ve got the same thing from Domino’s for $10. For $36 I expect much higher quality ingredients on a pizza, perhaps actual slices of ham and fresh pineapple. Very disappointed. Either lower your prices or up your standards.
