Sonic Drive-in

They were friendly and fast especially for how busy they were. But sadly the food didn't impress for the price. Yes, the food was hot but the fries were bland and my burger was just not a decent size for how much it cost. It was like McDonald's size at Whataburger cost. Then the most disappointing thing. The chocolate shake. The worst chocolate shake I've had in the area. Hardly mixed through, the bottom half was straight up vanilla and the top half was barely flavored with chocolate. I'll try again when I'm in the area again maybe less busy.

Always! And I mean always! Check your food before driving off! Ok.. this is the “2nd” time they forgot the gravy with my meal.. I even specifically said “with gravy” and asked her to repeat my order. The fries and chicken were old.. and I got a 5 piece chicken rather than the 6 I ordered..I thought Lockhart’s sonic was bad.. seems they hired all the people fired from Lockhart’s sonic.. You can’t be serious!?

The whipped cream for the milkshakes is like cool whip... Not real whipped cream. And.. The cheesecake is oddly tart.. Update: I tried to give it another go since the big dill burger looked good… nope, I don’t know what is in your meat because it is suspect!!! It is rubbery, bland with an odd flavor.. it’s honestly gross. .. the staff is nice, the food you’re serving is horrific. Also, the speaker at the spot I ordered wasn’t working correctly and it was pretty difficult to order.

Slowest service ever, sat and waited nearly 10 minutes for a response so we could order. Attendant was barely audible and when I asked if she was talking to me and called of the number of the slot we were in she immediately entered that number as the item she thought we were ordering. Finally got to the order and watched the screen, had to make two or three corrections because she wasn’t listening. Got the food and got home, some of the order was missing. Decided not to go back to retrieve the missing items. Food was not that great, extremely dry. Had tater tots and there were only 4-5 that were identifiable as gator tots. Most were just broken little pieces of tater tots. Needless to say we will not be getting anything else from Sonic in Luling. Sad because it is only one of two places that are open on Sunday afternoon.
