Had takeout dinner of white pizza with extra toppings. Delicious! I even ate all of the crust -- not the norm for me -- because it was light and crispy. Hubby prefers a thinner crust and thought there was too much "bread" but, despite that, did say the pizza was great! Located in a small strip mall, it was a snap to drive to, but parking was iffy due to it being delivery hour.

Johnnie's is located in Venice, California. It is not the one in Santa Monica. It is right off Washington Blvd. It is wonderful. Parking is free in their lot. You can order pick up, delivery or eat there in the few spots they have. We have done it all and we are always happy. This time we had our pizza delivered by a company called Slice. The pizza was super hot when we got it and exactly as ordered. When we called it in, the staff was very nice and listened to our special order. We also had salad and a pasta dish. All of it was great. We had the thin crust pizza which tastes just like NY pizza, really. The salad was fresh and crisp and the pasta was great as was the sauce. We will be back more now.

Best pizza I have had. Fresh ingredients. Clean kitchen. We had the large shrimp scampi pizza with marinara sauce and garlic knots with marinara. The staff was friendly, and I cannot recommend this place enough. Support local businesses!

Authentic smell and taste. Size was off though. A Large pie here (L.A.) would be a medium pie in Brooklyn NY. Other'n that Pepperoni Slices and Garlic knots were good. Closest thing to NY Pizza since I moved out west. Definitely check it out.

The pepperoni pizza was good came with free garlic knots. The 2nd pizza (normally I want veggies) didn't cook well with this particular Pizza. The restaurant is in a sketchy neighborhood but those are usually the best places to eat. A little expensive too.

The pizza was really good. The dough was fresh and tasty, chewy and with a nice crunch to the crust. As for the toppings, I almost ordered extra cheese and was glad that I didn't, as the amount was perfect and there was a ton of pepperoni. Overall, the pizza was delicious and the staff was pretty cool. I'd definitely eat here again.

This is my first time in LA since I moved away nearly two decades ago. Having gone to In-N-Out twice already during my stay (nothing wrong with that but had to change it up), I began searching for a different option. So, after walking around Venice Beach I decided to look up for Pizzerias in the area. And I am happy to have found Johnnie's NY Pizza. The gentleman at the cashier was very nice and as well as the pizza master. The pizza did not disappoint. Saucy? Check. Lots of cheese? Check. Plenty of meat and veggies? Check and check. Flavor? Honestly it is the best I have tried.

Good pizza. One of the few pizza places in the area where you can pick which toppings instead of just the menu options. Don't believe the directions on Google Maps; it takes you to the back of the building and it's not an entrance. The real entrance is around the corner and in through the parking lot off of Washington
