Great little find, right on the river. It's a Sam Smith's so generally good value for money. About 5-minutes walk from Wapping station. I had a fizzy apple juice which was nice. There's a big outside area but the weather was rubbish so we stayed inside where it was warm. Watch out for the mice who make it even more authentic!!

One of the San Smith chain of pubs, the Captain Kidd has an amazing vibe in Wapping, with a large beer garden that overlooks the Thames. The beer is as you'd expect in a Smiths (good), but the service left much to be desired, with slow bar service and a lack of many draft and bottled beers. I'd happy return for the view and atmosphere alone, but the staff need a kick up the preverbial to motivate.

Reviewing this bar, it's another excellent addition to the Sam Smith's pub family. If you're in search of a peaceful atmosphere, this one is definitely worth a visit. Situated alongside the Thames River, it boasts a fantastic beer garden. Well worth a visit if you’re in the area.

Great spot along the rivers edge! good beers. Sam Smith's used to be cheap little oasis's, but big Humphrey Smith's is starting to squeeze the little man by putting prices up.

Nice cosy pub perfectly capturing the old British pub feel. Food is a bit on the pricy side but very tasty. They only stock Samuel Smith's Brewery but that's no issue unless you want more variety. The beer garden is top-notch and the view of the Thames makes for a great spot for drinking and chatting.

Unassuming, grounded confidence that this is an outstanding riverside, dockland tavern. The plain street exterior hides an absolute beauty. A cobbled entry way leads to a fairytalesque sprawl of cubby corners and window bay seats. A generous outdoor plaza borders the river with bench seats looking out over an interesting urban jungle from heritage dock houses to Canary Wharf. The greatest selection of Samuel Smiths beers you'll find are interesting and unusual. A very relaxing place to chill, chat and dream.

A good Sam Smith pub offering a great selection beers, however a really poor selection of wines. The loos were also in dire straits, the women’s looks pretty much flooded with water all over the floor around the loos (I only hope it was water). The upside is that there is plenty of seating - considerably more than the Prospect of Whitby, and we were able to get a bench outside in their large courtyard. Staff regularly came round to collect up empty glasses.

5 stars for the laughs! A friend of mine sent me the attached picture, he asked for something Gluten-free and you guys decided to grab the ingredients from the nearest cinema floor. We call this masterpiece the "Guacamollami" (italian for Guacamole + leave me alone). After the first bite he woke up near his ancestors, like in the Black Panther movies, and they told him to leave immediately. If someone decided to cook that in italy, the Air Force would scramble a squadron of at least five Eurofighter Typhoon and storm the place.

Stunning decor! The upper floor is even more amazing with fresh breezes and great views of the river and Canary Wharf. The food and desserts we had were delightful. We had a good time.

There are some amazing riverside pubs along the north bank of the Thames between Limehouse and Wapping. This, in my opinion, has the perfect balance of a large, dark wood, nautically-themed interior with a large outdoor terrace. Steeped in history, this building is a gem. On a very hot August afternoon, we got to sit in the beautiful bay window with a lovely breeze blowing over us. The only downside, as an ale drinker, is that it’s owned by Samuel Smith. The only offering that I enjoy is their wheat beer. Other than that the staff are friendly and there is a nice mix of visitors and locals.
