Nice little pub, slightly hidden from crazy crowds near the Tower Bridge. Good food and really great service. Decent prices average to area. Not too crowded and fairly less noisy. Nice place to hang around and meet friends when in the area.

Had Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. Lots of meat, delicious potatoes and giant Yorkshire pudding. The portion size was just right for us, leaving room for some lovely deserts. The beer menu was perfect with about 20 different beers, IPA and barrel beers too. Will love to go back.

Best Sunday roast in London! Dean Swift has over 20 beers so chances are you’ll find something you enjoy. Croquettes, beef and lamb roast are all to die for. Great for meeting up with friends for a few hours as the pub is dog friendly and child friendly and very clean. Can’t wait to go back!

A hearty Sunday roast that left me completely full. The lamb is very good and the price was fair.

Lovely small pub, excellent range of well-kept beers (especially given the Institute of Brewing and Distilling is just around the corner!). Food is good, with a range of smaller dishes (croquettes, padron peppers, chorizo), cheese and meat boards, and larger plates including fish & chips, and burgers. Unfortunately they had run out of the steak baguette, so we had the buttermilk chicken burger in a pretzel bun instead - very delicious. We also ordered some cod croquettes, and a beetroot and feta salad, however for some reason the feta was swapped out with goats cheese, which we did not enjoy.

Excellent little pub on the corner with a very nice and communicative innkeeper and very good people in the kitchen. Best fish and chips we've had in weeks. Very good advice on beer and a delicious selection. The kids like the tasty lemonade and the great dessert selection. The whole place is very nicely decorated and very, very clean. Neat toilets. Much better overall impression and much cleaner and friendlier than at the pub chain with the W in the name. Would come back anytime and friends we recommended it to loved it too.

Google maps said I hadn't been here in 5 years, so pre-pandemic, and I can't remember when or why I was in the area. Tucked down a backstreet off Tower Bridge Road, you'd only really find it if you went looking for it. Even more so now with the building works digging up the road as you walk up. The first time I came here was after an interview I had round the corner, I was suited and booted after being at a client meeting and I wanted to transition into a cool company doing media or something. The hiring manager turned up barefoot and I could see I wasn't getting the job. Anyway, fast forward to now and we were off for lunch at the excellent Gunpowder. I decided to see if my memories of the place hold up to sun-drenched barefoot nostalgia. The exterior looks smarter, the interior too. It clearly had a facelift. Brighter, cleaner, spacious and more seating. What's lovely to see is the beer menu is still as vast as ever, with an extensive selection and the trusty London Black by @anspachhobday pouring well. The only downside was my first drink of Cloudwater IPA tasted like sour yoghurt, and the glass on the second pint of Anspach was filthy. Both were changed without fuss, could've been the first pour syndrome, or age, I dunno. Maybe people aren't as picky as me. I'll give it the benefit of the doubt, because it's quite fairly priced for the area, the music was decent, vibe was nice, staff were friendly, and the nostalgia box was ticked. Options in the direct proximity are the Brewdog owned ex-Draft House or Spoons, and then you're on the mile in cold archways. So it's a good place to perch and get away from the tourists and traffic.

I stumbled upon this place for a Sunday roast. It was very tasty! Staff was pleasant and friendly. As I was here on a Sunday, I don’t know what it would be like on a weekend or weekday but it had very chill vibes and I would definitely come back here again. Also had the apple pie with ice cream for dessert. Very good 😊

We just loved the Dean Swift Pub. The best fish and chips that we ate in whole London. The bold guy (so sorry, I forgot your name) was super nice, he even gave me a taste of a less bitter beer just so I could try it. The food was amazing, the pub is super cool with a nice playlist. We were super happy, thank you ♡.

A great pub with a great selection of beers. The food style here is tapas with some of the typical favourites. Service was quick and it all tasted really great. Fantastic beer food. The dishes that really stood out were the chorizo, pardon peppers and the calamari. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is out for a few beers and a bite to eat.
