Would have been nice to know before driving 20 min there that they are closed on Tuesdays. Nothing on their website about this, just a taped up paper sign outside the door. Ended up going to Love at First Bite up the street and around the corner, where the food and service is phenomenal. But this reflective of the service at daikanyama, don’t waste your time. Edit: Owner responded to this review and I appreciate their effort. Maybe will check out someday because it does look like a cool spot.

I’m so happy this place is open again. It’s such an oasis of good food. The entire atmosphere is relaxing and the perfect spot for a family night out. My son loves the pork katzu and I enjoyed the vegetable udon dish. As appetizers we enjoyed steamed pork dumplings…. Perfect. Our server was amazing! Very efficient and professional. Sure will be back.

My wife and I had dinner here, for the first time. We've ate at many Japanese restaurants all over Asia, as well as in the Eastern half of the States. This restaurant, is very nice, upscale but casual. They have menus and a kindle fire that shows you the whole menu, in beautifully taken pictures. The soft shell crab was delicious! The Foie Gras Beef, we returned, because it didn't taste good inside. They took it back, and said they were sorry. We had the pancake duck, which was also very tasty. The place wasn't too busy however, we arrived about 4pm, and by 5pm people started coming in. It's off the main street in Lexington. Easy to get to with a GPS. A gourmet Japanese restaurant! Very nice staff, that wear masks. Enjoy!

We decide to have Japanese food on Sunday night, so we walked in this one. We were the first group in and ordered our food. The the long wait start. From time to time, the waitress brought some small dishes and out appetizers. But we waited over an hour until our full course came out from the sushi bar, which has three chief working since we came in. My wife has to take my son home before that since he has a class. Not an pleasant experience.

This is the best Japnanese Restaurant that i've been to so far!! My friend and I finished working on a house and we decided to try something new, and landed here. My first impression when walking in is the environment and the theme. Everybody looks friendly, and it was very clean with a urban Japanese look to it. The food was super delicious! We got 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. Every single ONE of them were DELICIOUS. I tasted nor did I see any flaw. The portion was decent, but the taste was so good that it made up for it. I will not deduct a star, for the portion because it was high quality food. The food was melting in my mouth. It sank and I tasted every texture... It's like you know what the ingredients were. It was cooked perfectly! The waiters/waitresses were super friendly. The menu are pretty pricey, but again, QUALITY FOOD! I ended the meal with some mochi dessert. Even the Mochi was beautifully made! The food was so good that we tipped them I believe 30%. I super highly reccomend this spot!

Absolutely delicious. I had the chicken salad and the homemade tomato soup. Nice glass of local chardonnay. Worth the wait!

Daikanyama is a great restaurant. The food is very nicely done from the presentation to the taste. The menu has lots of great options from chicken katsu, crispy rice balls and great sushi options. The crispy rice balls pictured were so good. The taste of the sushi rice shines through nicely. You will pay a little more here than other sushi restaurants however it is reflected in everything that they do and is worth it.
