Found this gem of a coffee shop!! Definitely a much needed and nice addition to Lewes. Too many high branded coffee shops take over towns but this one was perfect. Nice drinks and cakes. Will become a regular when we visit Lewes for sure

We stumbled across this hidden gem on a trip to Lewes whilst on holiday. It’s dog friendly and the both the service and welcome from the staff was excellent. It’s very clean and well laid out, a nice amount of room between tables which catered for larger or smaller groups. Super coffee, delicious cakes and even a toasted tea cake… for us Northerners that swung it!

Carafe is a really good spot for a quiet coffee and snack in Lewes. The shape of the space and the big window onto the street make it perfect for daydreaming and trying to work at the same time, which I do with my laptop in Carafe quite frequently! The team that work there are genuinely friendly and the coffee is really superb.

After a week of some truly awful coffee in Northern France was a relief to find Carafe just a short drive from the ferry. Shoreditch surroundings, musically chilled vibe, with lovely friendly staff and a great robust roast coffee. We also had a couple of excellent (falafel and prosciutto) panninis. This is it.

Stumbled across this lovely coffee shop that’s down a side street near the railway station.Great choice of coffees, chai lattes frappes etc cakes and savouries. My coffee was lovely could really taste the coffee, service was good and lovely mellow jazz on in the background perfect!

Top notch coffee, that goes for regular and decaffeinated. The staff are so friendly and the service a firm 5 stars. We have yet to try eating here as it all looks delicious. The ambiance is chilled with gentle music playing in the background. If we hadn’t just had lunch, we would have eaten here. This place is a hidden gem in Lewes, just up from the station on the right. Highly recommend from Lavender Theatre!

Really delcious sandwiches and lovely coffee. This place is brilliant, really nicely decorated, a pleasant and busy atmosphere and lovely waiting staff. We ordered a pastrami sandwich, a frappe and cappuccino, and everything was amazing. The frappe, in particular, was a real cheeky morning treat!

First time visiting yesterday and will definately be coming back! Super friendly team, amazing choices of drinks, food and cakes!
The coffee itself is one of the best i've tried, super smooth and bold flavour, not bitter!
I also had matcha and chai! The milk was steamed to perfection, super silky smooth and nice and hot!
