Been coming here for a couple of years now. Service is always quick and friendly. Desert is always delicious, sandwiches are fresh and super tasty. If you’re in Lawrence, Wheatfields is a must:)

inside of the restaurant was very chic and modern. fair prices and both the cinnamon roll and breakfast burrito were pretty average. for me the homemade salsa was the best part. i would come back again

Nice local bakery and Café. Homemade food, which is nice. I could feel the love put into the baking with my coconut macaroon.

Their selection is hit or miss for me. I had the biscuits and gravy, with a blueberry muffin and a coffee. Their gravy was really good, but the biscuits were a bit on the tough side. I wasn't a fan of the blueberry muffin either. I usually really like things with blueberries in them, but this was a miss for me. I didn't like the texture. Made me think they used whole grain flour that hadn't been ground enough. This choice left the muffin with a grainy texture like undercooked couscous. We took home some rolls for later. I loved their rolls. Beautiful crunchy crust with a soft, delectable center. The coffee was weak enough that I had to go get another coffee from somewhere else. The staff were helpful, and the restaurant was clean.

They run out of stuff quickly during the day usually so go early if you want something specific. The turkey for the sandwiches is a little dry/bland, but not too bad when combined with the other ingredients. The bread is very nice. Most have a nice chew to the crust and a soft inside. Good sweets selection as well, anything from cookies to full size cakes. They also sell sodas and breakfast faire.

Never a bad experience. Working Downtown, they are my go to choice for a carry out lunch at least a couple of days every week. Great choice of sandwiches and lunch specials. A good casual dine-in experience too. And of course, probably the best bakery in town.

Love Wheatfields!! Incredible sourdough bread, and just tried the Italian rosemary bread for the first time - yum!!! I also love their chicken salad sandwich. But best of all is their chocolate cookies and chocolate mousse cake. WOW!

The best bakery in Kansas! You can find many different varieties of loaves, but the best one is "French Country" and "Rustic Italian." They have a nice indoor seating area for breakfast and lunch. The sandwiches are tasty and straightforward mainly because of the bread, but they need to develop. Also, the focaccia is fantastic! The desserts are good too (except Tiramisu). Definitely recommend the place without hesitating. Everyone is friendly and helpful.
