Mare Sol

We stopped in for lunch on a road trip and it was a gem of a find. There were three of us for lunch and we all loved what we ate. Plus the service was excellent. I had the gyro and it was one of the best lamb gyros I've ever ate. I highly recommend it. The lamb was so flavorful. I also had one of their soups of the day - pasta fagioli and my dad had the other one - chili. Both were delicious. Mom had the chicken salad sandwich, which she also loved.

Well the food wasn't good but it was expensive! Ordered a cup of lobster bisque. BARELY lukewarm but $12.00. The hanger steak was described by the server as the most tender portion of the beef tenderloin. Half way through the meal she observed my difficulty cutting the "most tender portion" to ask if I wanted a steak knife! $24.00. It had a flavor totally foreign to any beef I've ever tried and wasn't a taste I hope to experience again. Very disappointed in our experience there. The server was personable and efficient.

First time eating out since pandemic. I really wanted to enjoy it. I think maybe our server was being overworked (she stayed behind the bar and seemed frazzled) because we saw her like 3 times the whole evening. We got our appetizers quickly, but someone else brought out our food very late and lukewarm, and we didn't see anyone again at all until it was time to pay. We got a drink refill when we got the check. The tables around us didn't have this problem. We left a 20% anyway because she was clearly flustered, but it would have been nice to see management get involved.
