Nick's

This place I visited for my friend's birthday. The shrimp I ordered as an appetizer with a glass of margarita went well with the sauce, so it was a good start.Margarita liked the jalapeno watermelon more slightly spicy than the original. It was good that the other foods were not salty and the taste was not too biased in the sauce. I'm going to try different kinds of fish at the outside table next day.

Man-oh-man, have I found a new fave hotspot in Del Mar…heck, in all of San Diego! Nicks is the tasty bomb! Jamie & Barney introduced us to this hip, elegant, delicious joint and Tammy & I fell instantly in love! The food is exceptional, the service impeccable and the atmosphere just swanky enough to make you feel elevated but not overcome by snob factor. I can see this being one of our prime spots for a quick cocktail, a quick & tasty lunch, or pull the stops and invite friends to make it THE place for dinner. Note: Are you super hungry? Don’t hesitate and just order the ribs. OMG, you’ll be amazed at the fall-off-the-bone tastiness. Smaller appetites? Go for the spicy Thai salad; To-Die-For. And one secret pleasure? The roasted garlic infused bread. Dang, too many choices, but a great problem to have. Thanks Nicks! I/we will be back again. And AGAIN!

We just went to the Nick’s. I had such a touching and amazing time. Today was my mom's birthday, so we went to Nick's for dinner, were greeted by a friendly guide, sat down, and ate the three dishes we ordered. It was San Francisco Cioppino, Center Cut Filet, and Bistro Plate. The tenderness of the steak and the freshness and deep flavor of the seafood soup were excellent. What impressed us more than anything was that the final dessert included a candle celebrating my mother's birthday and received congratulatory messages from the staff. Everyone was friendly, from the chefs who prepared the food to the male manager at the main counter and all other staff. My mom said it was the best meal and a touching time. She was delighted and our family would like to express our sincere gratitude to everyone at Nick's. I highly recommend this place to everyone. It's the best place!!

The food was excellent, our service was great, and the ambiance was very nice. We had a little problem at first. My daughter had a baby stroller, and they are kind of limited with tables for space to park those. But they took action and accommodated us until a table was ready. We decided to stay where we were, and everything was great! I would definitely recommend going here it was very nice.

We loved Nicks in Laguna Beach so we had to try this location and it didn’t disappoint. Made reservations a week in advance to be sure to get a nice table. The atmosphere is very chill and we had a bird’s eye view of the chef’s kitchen. We had the halibut macadamia crusted with pineapple sauce and the meatloaf special. These were both amazing dishes! We will be coming back soon!!
