I can’t think of cheesecake without thinking of Cheesecakes By James. James is an amazing person and has a superior product to anything you will ever taste. If you haven’t ever tried his Cheesecake I’d recommend you start with strawberry! I’ve had every flavor he makes and they are all amazing but his strawberry cheesecake has a special place in my heart.

James is such an incredibly nice and welcoming guy. You can tell he takes a lot of pride in his work just by eating his cheesecake. It’s obvious he loves what he does. I called him and asked if he could knock out 6 cheesecakes in a day and a half and he absolutely did no problem. His cheesecakes are so delicious and the detail he puts into each flavor is just beautiful. If you are looking for an amazing cheesecake from an amazing guy, look no further.

James' cheesecake is so delicious. It is not overly rich and heavy. Perfect cheesecake. He only had plain left when I went after a rush and he specially customized it to add caramel and pecans! Great customer service plus incredibly delicious. Highly recommend the cheesecake as well as James' customer service and fun personality!

Went in last week to get some slices for home and work, AMAZING, such a delicious cheesecake recipe! I haven't had any great cheesecake like that in a long time. Will definitely be returning and order full cakes!!!

James is extremely personable and makes you feel like a close friend! There was no turtle cheesecake when we went but he went the extra mile and transformed a plain cheesecake to turtle for us, right then and there. The cheesecake is delicious and comforting. Highly recommend!

Cheesecakes by James is exceptional!! It is a must go to place if you’re in Joliet. If you're not in Joliet then this is a great reason to go. I had the pleasure of meeting James the owner, he is an absolute gentleman and provides outstanding customer service. Cheesecakes by James is a fun place to be and the Cheesecakes are the best!! James is one of the most open and humble person you will meet. And you taste it in the cheesecake. You wanna feel like family when you walk in a place...he makes it happen.
I was hanging out here on mother's day morning getting my first order, which wasn't an easy one on such a busy day, and every single person I saw come in here just laughed and had a good time while James was knocking out orders.
