El Ranchito

We normally rather enjoy eating there as we have a favorite server who always treats us really well. The food hurts our stomachs sometimes, but oh well it's mexican food, sometimes people aren't used to it. We still enjoy the food. We go in recently and the host takes our drink orders and brings them and chips and salsa to us. After about 10 minutes, a server comes to our table, not who we usually get but that's okay. He snaps at me when I ask for no onion and pretends not to hear my boyfriend. He leaves and we wait for another 15 or 20 minutes for our food. He thumps it down and leaves promptly. We start eating and a couple women come in and sit a few booths behind us. The server we have atp is talking to them nicely and laughing and teaching them spanish. After a bit, we place our empty cups on the edge of the table and wait for him to come around. He's still standing there with the ladies, talking. My boyfriend tries to flag him down and he turns his back to us. My boyfriend gets up with our cups and goes to the counter to ask for refills himself. He sits back down, we finish eating, and our usual server that is always really nice brings us our check. We talk to him for a few moments then he leaves again while we finish our drinks. We wait for someone to come around to collect our check and nothing. We finally just go up to the counter, pay and leave. Atp, it isn't worth it to endure the food anymore as the service is just rude now I guess.

We are new to the area and this is one of the first restaurants we have tried. We've been there now at least a half dozen times since! Great food, great service, above and beyond friendliness! The prices are reasonable and you will get full! Great guacamole and rellenos! We need an online menu, so we can order ahead and drive into town to fetch it!
