Nice little restaurant right next to Downtown Indy!
I really loved everything about this place.
The drinks were so good: The mango painkiller was a killer !! I’m definitely coming back to get some more!!
The loaded cheese soup is to die for 🤤 I definitely recommend everyone to try it.
I also had some spaghetti & pork loin; needless to say that they were good.
The server was so nice and her recommendations on what to eat & drink were on point.
My time and my money were well spent.
10/10 would recommend!!

Always used to love this place. Amazing food every time. Was excited to go back. Had a short window of time and the staff was great in telling me what would work in my window of time. They also played along with a ‘vote what dish is better’ which was awesome and I really enjoyed the bolognese pasta. Was a hard choice to make bc the whole menu sounded so good. One of the best spots in Indy

Great offerings for afternoon cocktails and snack menu. Good unfussy service and atmosphere
We often have a big breakfast and then wish to have lunch around 3 PM and a late late dinner. Not all restaurants are open in the afternoon, and when they are, sometimes there is a limited menu. And although Bluebeard offered a limited menu, it was still a wonderful meal with plenty to enjoy (we ordered from their snack menu).
Exquisite outdoor atmosphere (think outdoor chandeliers hanging from trees) laid-back (but attentive) service, and wonderful cocktails rounded out the afternoon.
Let’s start with the cocktails. I am a huge mescaline fan, and, in fact, I love tequila in general and they had a couple of drinks on the menu that looked to be intriguing. Normally I like something bright and citrusy, and a little boozy, and a little spicy but not sweet. I was debating between the Galapagos and another drink, and the server (who was quite knowledgeable about the drinks) recommended the Galapagos. It was perfect. I have some drinks that I make at home, even though they are complex, and I would love to add this recipe to my repertoire. That’s how outstanding this cocktail was. It was my perfect sort of cocktail, spicy and citrusy, and really well-balanced.
Food: We split a charcuterie plate, and my husband had a Caesar salad, and I had herring toast. I love pickled herring, and this was such a wonderful presentation.
The server was great. She was a mix of laid-back and efficient while still knowing the menu. I know it was a limited snacktime venue, so there were not a lot of items for her to be familiar with, but still, she really felt like she knew the restaurant well! And…I really hate it when the server tries to explain the menu like we’ve never been to a restaurant before or acts cutesy and asks, “how are we all doing with our first bites?" or says, “I’ll be taking care of you." I just find it a bit intrusive and annoying and almost the type of thing you would hear at a fern chain bar. Our server did none of those things.
I want the server to really know the menu, and to introduce themselves and offer suggestions (only if we ask), and then check on our order once everything has arrived at the table, because by then, I usually need a refill of something, or I would like a glass of wine or some extra remoulade or a side bread etc etc. The server was definitely visible when we needed her but not hovering and not cutesy. She did not insult me trying to explain what charcuterie was. She did not try to offer her own food suggestions or say "this is really popular." or "people like the herring." I don't care what is popular. Really, she was the perfect mix of attention. I can’t tell you how refreshing that was.
Bottom line: Great food. Amazing cocktails. Excellent service.

Bluebeard is our favorite restaurant in Indy. We got engaged here and even had our wedding in their private events room. Service is always a 10/10. Our favorite meal includes the grilled bread, chop salad, spaghetti and alpine fizz. Honorable mention is the masaman from this past winter. You can’t go wrong with any order and nothing we love more than a date night on the patio.

Overall great experience at Bluebeard. Was seated immediately on a Thursday evening, which is great since they don’t take reservations. Cocktail list is huge with non alcoholic options. My husband and I shared charcuterie, mussels and ribeye entree- all outstanding. Menu changes daily, we’ll be sure to come back.

This has to be one of my favorite restaurants in Indy! The menu is constantly revolving with new creative dishes, so there's always something new and exciting to try. The best piece of advice I could give is to TRUST the menu. Some of the dishes might sound odd, or have ingredients that you don't normally like, but the chefs at Bluebeard find ways to complement every flavor. The bar has excellent cocktails and the bartenders were kind enough to make me one of the best mocktails I'd ever had while pregnant back in February. Definitely an excellent birthday or anniversary option!

Was super nervous when I saw a small menu with most things I wasn't interested in eating. I tried the chips and dip as an app and it was amazing! Shared a small chopped salad with the house dressing. Was astonished at how good a salad could taste so good. My meal was the ribeye with potatoes, spicy corn, and sprouts. All I can say is mind-blowing! I tried the pork chop and it had to be the best I've ever tasted. For dessert, I got the cake and also tasted the peach thing I can't recall the names I do apologize. This place is a must-eat on my list when I'm in town. I suggest others give it a try.

Food was absolutely delicious and friendly staff. Their house made ginger beer truly tastes of ginger. The difficult decision to make was which dessert to have!

Came in for a late lunch on Tuesday around 2 pm. Plenty of seating and street parking at that time. Outside seating is very nice. We got charcuterie board which was really good. I got the green river ginger beer which was good. Wife got the chop salad which she thought was good. Only nit pick if your health conscious is to put dressing on the side. I got the Grinder sandwich was very good and would get again. Overall great experience.
