I love going to the Smith Street store for lunch and then shopping for all my goodies! So much to choose from. Friendly, and ready to assist with location of items and/or information about any liquor, wine, coffee, bakery item, deli, and other specialty items etc.

Has everything you want plus 10 similar options. Of all the times I've been, only had problems w/ beers and ciders past expiration date. Guess that's the downside of having everything (the popular and less popular). On my last visit it looked like they were having a whiskey tasting in the "finer foods" section.

Thank you to the great shipping team that helped me get a large order delivered quickly and efficiently. They followed up to update me on the status and helped when I had a problem with the FedEx delivery. Extremely reliable and helpful!

This review is purely as a delivery person. I've did not shop nor was I checked out via cashier.
When I arrived to the store, there were some employees up front. I said hello & they they replied in kind. I hadn't had a delivery in this location in years, so I asked one of the employees in the store where I needed to go to pick up my order. They refreshed my memory & I made it to the correct spot. When you walk back for deliveries/pickups, you encounter a person behind the counter (who didn't acknowledge me) before going through the double doors to reach another counter, where you pick up your order (overall, very nice, helpful employees).
I'm giving this store 4-stars because I actually came to this store 2x in the same night, & encountered the same people. The folks up front didn't exactly greet me, but did exchange pleasantries whenever I said hello. The person who gave me instructions the first time acknowledged me, stating that "you're back!" and we exchanged a quick, funny conversation. The girl at the counter outside the double doors didn't really acknowledge me at all (for a second time), which I found as rude since I always say hello. When I went through the metal doors to get my orders (again) there was a woman working back there (she grabbed my orders both times from behind the desk) that just wasn't as friendly nor helpful as the other folks. She wasn't overtly rude or anything, just not as helpful.
It is because of the woman outside the double doors that I'm giving 4 starts. I'm also curious if I hadn't initiated the hellos, would the staff at front (one behind a chocolates counter I believe it is?), and the other to check IDs (I'm assuming) even acknowledged me? It's just that they were deeply in conversation. Would the person at the exit had said goodbye if I hadn't said "Have a nice night!" upon walking out? I ponder as all of these folks just seem to be either engrossed in something else or just not that friendly at all. The staff in the actual store were very helpful; it's just a couple of those I dealt with in the delivery/pickup process could refresh their people skills.

This is my favorite specs. They always have so many employees on the floor. I never have to look hard if I have a question, and all of the employees have been super friendly. They always have the drink I want. I also went to the deli and bakery and they were both amazing. I had no idea that specs made good food. Now I want to come back and have a date at specs because they just seems like so much fun now. Like wouldn’t it be fun to go to specs buy lunch and everything you need for an over the top cocktail go home eat and keep making and drinking the cocktail till you get it right lol

Thousands of bottles, but not the one I need. The staff assisted with a fine alternative. If you can't find something, don't hesitate to ask. They may suggest your new favorite. Thanks again

This place is the Costco, Sam's Club, and Walmart Supercenter of liquor stores. Everything you could want to get your drink on can be found here. Unbelievable selection of beer, wine, liquor, not to mention cheese, deli, pastry, etc. Do not miss!

How does this place even exist? Better question: why doesn't it exist in more places? Of course the alcohol selection is tremendous and well-priced. But the food selection is simply unheard of. So many foods and drinks from all over the world in one place. And SO much fine cheese! I only wish I had a store like this near me.
