Bob's Bar-b-que

For a hole in the wall BBQ this place is extremely clean, this is a family run business and when you're in here you're treated like family. Now onto the food I've had the brisket and the sausage and the ribs and it's all good the only thing I can't figure out is why you would take good food and heat it up in the microwave and and destroy a perfectly good piece of meat. The bands are homemade and the potato salad is store bought and some of the pies. With that all said I still keep coming back.

I was hopeful that this would be my new go-to BBQ place but was utterly disappointed. Gave two stars only due to cleanliness and friendliness and because the potato salad was divine. Otherwise they'd be fortunate to get one star. Where to start... BBQ should taste like smoked wood..not propane gas. Ribs were dry. Chicken consisted of a dry wing (I could get more meat off a grasshopper) and a bit of breast with rib bones still attached , along with an extra sample of bones. Yes, you read that right. Just some chicken rib bones. Sliced beef was not dry, but tasted strongly of propane. Hellooooooo. Nobody likes the taste of propane! Beans were just okay but had a strange herb taste that I could not place. Not something I'd want in my BBQ beans though.

I love this place it reminds me of my home town rib place called Hilary's in Waukegan IL. The only thing I find lacking it the portion for the price. Sausage only 6 pieces and brisket 7 slices. I know got to make a profit, but you don't have to make a killing. Let your customer enjoy. Especially out of towners.
