I ordered the Country Style Steak Dinner w/corn pudding and yams. Look at the corn pudding! Burnt and dry!. Nobody can eat that. I've never seen anything like it before. The Steak was heavily breaded and crunchy and burnt. It made me sick to my stomach. That was a waste of $9+

Solid food, the corn pudding was a bit runny but tasted amazing. Potato salad was very good. Barbecue was alright. Walk in service was relatively prompt

This is a great place to eat, l drive from Durham, NC to get the livers and gizzard plate with two vegetables.. They are cooked perfect. The staff is so friendly and they take good care you. If you have not eaten there you need to try it. They have a large menu to pick from when you order. Go one time you will go back more often than you think. Hot Dogs are delicious.

Got raw chicken, old hush puppies and slaw and old mash potatoes. 30 minute wait, order had to be redone 3 times got it wrong each time. Never will be back. So disappointed.

Was very dissatisfied and disappointed coming to eat here. Expected a good quality, hot meal but received nothing but watery coleslaw and bland green beans. The food was lukewarm. The lemonade was very sweet. The greens ain’t have not a sprinkle of seasoning.The oysters tasted old. When asked for a refund we were deflected to ask if we wanted another plate. Don’t go here if you want your hopes,dreams, and stomach ruined. Would give zero stars but it’s not possible.

Was looking forward to their delicious fried chicken livers, needed to order for entire family. I called 8 times to place order, NO ANSWER ‼️‼️ I've been a regular customer for years. Ended up going to Popeye's. So disappointed ☹️ with Golden Skillet now.

I eat here almost weekly. Chicken salad hand down the best in town. The pork chops bbq are also very very very very good. I've tried a fish as well on a bun that was great too!!
