Our server, Jessica, went absolutely above and beyond for us! She is wonderful at her job, tremendous customer service and extremely fun, positive and delightful! We live out of town in Moncton, but visit Halifax monthly or more, we'll definitely be back and hope to have Jessica brighten our day once again! Thank you Jessica 🙏

My fiance and I came in just after the lunch rush, for a quick bite to eat before heading back to our hotel. We were greeted by Jessica who served us, She was super friendly, funny and very efficient! She packed us up our left overs with all the fixings we would need for later as she actually engaged in conversation with us and knew we were staying at a hotel. As a server myself, I really appreciate good service, in my eyes this is how all guests should be treated! I wish more servers were like Jess! . She did a few things to make our quick lunch a good one. Good servers are hard to come by. Thank you Jess!

I had the pleasure of dining at Smitty's Family Restaurant recently, and I can't say enough about the wonderful experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff was incredibly attentive and made me feel right at home. The menu offered a great variety of options, and the food was absolutely delicious. I tried the breakfast special, and it was cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were generous, and the prices were very reasonable, offering excellent value for the quality of the food. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, and the ambiance was cozy and inviting. It's a perfect place for a family meal or a casual get-together with friends. I can't recommend Smitty's Family Restaurant enough. It's a fantastic spot for a delicious meal and top-notch service. I will definitely be returning for more delightful dining experiences in the future!

Love this restaurant its been a family favorite for years. However today after being there (Aug 26, 2023) I was not very impressed with the cleanliness. The carpet was completely grease stained and sticky from the staff going in and out of the kitchen area. It's as if the carpets have not been deep cleaned in years. Please for the sake of the business replace the carpet I think its past the point of deep cleaning.

Ours was a return visit to Smitty's to try them again. We had a Denver bacon omelet @$17.99 and crispy ginger beef with rice @ $17.99. In general the food was good, served on nicely warmed plates. However portioning was minimal. The beef dish came with onions and peppers which turned out to be so few as almost non-existent. The beef was delicious, quite generous. The rice with it was plain (not a problem) and about half the portion size that it should have been. My wife's omelet was good but did not live up to the price. Service from Nicole was good. Overall our experience was almost satisfactory but distinctly underwhelming. There are better options available nearby.
