We hadn't been to Kempsters in years. It's just not close to where we live. We went there for breakfast for the first time, and it was amazing. Got pancakes on the side, and they were the best restaurant pancakes I've ever had. There are too many places that their pancakes are either too dense or tasteless. These were nice and light and buttery. We'll definitely plan on coming back for breakfast again.

Visiting Halifax from British Columbia. Came here for lunch. Staff was very pleasant. Food was great, good portions. Had a home cooked feeling. Would recommend.

Food is always good. It's a great little diner style restaurant. My only complaint was that we asked for water with our food and never got it. But we did get lots of refill offers on coffee ☕ 😀

Hadn’t been here in 20 years decided to get nostalgic. My first breakfasts in the city were here. Service was amazing, waitress was on point, locked and loaded. The food came out hot and fresh. Was tastey. Recommend giving the place a try if you are in the area. Will return.

I had fish with Ceasar salad and hubby had hot hamburger sandwich with fries and toffee pudding cake and coconut cream pie for dessert. It was absolutely delicious! First time there but won't be our last. Our waitress Elizabeth was so nice and friendly. Great experience all around. Keep up the great work!

Went on a Saturday morning around 8:30am with our two year old. We were seated right away and coffees brought over. Husband had the big breakfast with multigrain toast and I had the BBQ brisket eggs benedict. Everything was delicious, coffee was kept topped up. Our toddler had the side order of pancakes and some of our food. Loved the hashbrowns and the two pancakes were large and filling. A great breakfast!
