Fire Pit Bbq

Not sure if they are under new management but they have definitely gone down hill. Unfortunately I had to write this review as a buyers beware, due to the over pricing, quality, and quantity of food. I was a regular here and use to love ordering the chicken, garlic shrimp and rice. This is my first visit in a while and I didn’t order the bbq chicken because it’s gotten smaller over time and very little meat, so this time I only ordered the shrimp and a side of rice. The rice was under cooked that it was still a little hard, and the shrimp are super tiny now, garlic sauce was different and both dishes were salty. This was definitely not worth $20, and it’s understandable to have to increase the prices do to the times we are in but the quality and quantity should never be affected.

The price for the portions are ridiculous. The 22 oz steak was cooked to perfection, I asked for medium rare and medium rare I received. I was surprised as the steak was very thick but it managed to be well cooked. The food great all around and the smoke flavors are definitely present as it’s cooked over wood charcoal. The side of rice and beans were big enough for well over two people. The #3 combo which was the pork spare ribs and beef short ribs was amazing. Nice and juicy in the middle alongside the crispy bits on the outside with the wood smoked flavors. The combo came with the same choice of sides, rice and beans or substitute fries, but we declined as it was such large portions and didn’t feel the need to waste food. I definitely recommend this place and will be returning again. One downside is that the parking is quite hectic and small, but well worth it in order to eat here.
