Mcalister's Deli

This section of New Garden Rd, is loaded with great places to eat. We found ourselves wanting good deli but our usual place was closed. McAlister’s is our new Go To - here’s why: they have no problem with substitutions. We both wanted The New Yorker which is corned beef, pastrami, swiss and spicy brown mustard on marbled rye. We changed the bread on both to a baguette and no cheese on mine. The girl at the register was very accommodating and nice. We took it home and chowed. The corned beef and pastrami combo was really good! The potato salad tasted better than it looks and the tomato, cucumber salad was very fresh. This was a great experience!

I picked up takeout from McAlister’s Deli for dinner. I had the Black Angus Roast Beef Spud, and the family had the Justaspuds with a cup of Chili. And we also had the House-Baked Chocolate Chip Cookies. The spuds were huge and piping hot, just the way the should be. The service was quick and the associate super courteous and friendly - thanks Abigail.

I frequently order pick-up from this location and based on the price and consistency, I have to give this one a 5-star review. Mind you, this isn't 5-star quality food nor should it be, but the sandwiches are of good quality and I never wait for my take-out order. It's always as quoted or faster and they have a separate take-out door. Full disclosure--I prefer Jason's but this is closer and still deserves 5-stars for what it is.

First experience here, we had a mishap where my co-worker was charged wrong and instead of saying anything (because of the long line) we decided to sit down and look at the receipt. Before we could say anything the manager came over and had already fixed her bill!!! Food was amazing, I will definitely be back.

Located in the Target shopping center (adjacent to Kickback Jack’s), McAlister's offers a variety of good food in a casual atmosphere. Nice variety of options from soup and salad to potato and sandwiches. Can't decide, try the "choose two" for half-portions of two entrees. Fresh brewed tea and giant cookies. Friendly staff. Kids eat free one night a week. They cater too.

Usually my experience at McAllister's is great but, tonight it was not. A young lady working at McAllister sneezed in her hands and, with out washing them, continued working. She did not do so until a lady working with the CDC walked to the counter and informed another employee of what happened; she requested that the counter be cleaned, and that the young woman wash her hands. No more McAllister's for me, I'm over it!
