Doughocracy

Awesome pizza as always. We had my sons birthday party and I went in advance to order 11 different types of pizza, to be ready at a specific time. I went back to get them , they were all set ready to go. Hot and fresh. Perfect experience and the pizza was so good as usual. We love this place. Employees were super nice and helpful.

We walked in 1.5 hours before closing and the whole restaurant was messy. Several tables are broken, so there were only 3 or 4 tables to sit at. One staff member was very rude acting as though it was incontinent that we were trying to eat there. That staff member also turned away several customers that tried to come in around an hour before closing. Other staff members were fine and happy to serve us and others. I used to really love this restaurant, but it seems like maybe since covid it has taken a downturn in quality. The food was still decent, but a few ingredients I asked for were missing.

This place is not to bad, I stop by this place for a quick bite. The pizza we order was very delicious and has to been the one of the thinnest which I liked it. I also ordered some beer which was an IPA but still little pricy. The price for the other pizza’s is a little pricy and they do charge extra. I would recommend this place.

We used to come to Doughocracy at least once per week in 2019. It was a 5 star place built on a 5 star concept. You’ve got good quality pizza with a wild variety of toppings at a somewhat affordable price ( it is still downtown Geneva after all) and in no time at all. The small beer garden outside was always full and it has been a great place to spend time with friends. In 2 subsequent recent visits in July and August 2021, we noticed the quality is well below any acceptable standards. First time we thought was a fluke, second time we realized is the new norm. We’ve got our pizzas drastically undercooked (to the point they were semiliquid) which is difficult to do with a timed oven. We also had to wait in line for 10 min until the staff decided they were done chatting and reluctantly agree to serve us after a significant line has formed despite having no customers ahead of us. My wife got a salad which she had and loved in the past but this time was a soggy lettuce filled bowl with not much else served with a side of attitude when she asked for what she really ordered ( now ordering salad at a pizza place is a bit of a risky endeavors but again the same salad was great a year ago). It pains me to say we will not return and judging by how full the place is many other customers will not either. It is a pity because the concept is great and the location marvelous but it is after all a place where you go to eat and if the food is terrible and service is worst there is no reason to go back. There are many many many others better options in Downtown Geneva - which is a magical place.
