Sushi Chao

This was my first time coming here, and I'll be honest I was surprised by how good everything was. I came in expecting fast food sushi, but I have to say it was very good quality for the price. The staff was also extremely friendly and my food came out fairly quickly. The only thing I could complain about is that if it gets too full, it can very easily become cramped. Its a small location, but the fact that they offer their sushi to-go is a very nice touch.

Takes forever at times. Incompetent staff it seems to handle busy times. One guy usually doing most of the work in my experience. Buffet table questionable, seems to often have very little food left burning on the bottom and doesn't seem frequently rotated. Caveat to this is staff REGINA who is exceptional at going above and beyond. Fine for a quick bite every now and then but not a regular consistent choice. Sushi is fine, it's fine just nothing noteworthy.

Sushi Chao has such a great selection of food from sushi to hot food like chicken, tofu and yummy vegetable selections. If I am studying at Library West, this is just a perfect place to walk to and grab a bite to eat. If you are a lover of Asian cuisine, Sushi Chao is fast, friendly and the hot food is self-served, so you can get as much or as little food as you wish depending on your appetite. Never had any complaints coming here, and if you ask for your receipt, you can get a dollar off Mochi, the frozen yogurt place a few feet away! Entree and dessert all in one stop - it is great.

I LOVE the sushi here. I LOVE that it's right across from work. My only qualm is that you can rarely get someone on the phone to place a to-go order and I've tried at least 6 different times. I get it during lunch and dinner rushes but I've called at all different times. The two times I made it to a person, once I placed an order but the second time I was on hold for 5 mins then disconnected. They just need to get it together with the phones and they'll get that 5th star.

Placed an order online for delivery on Saturday night, and when my food arrived I discovered that my sushi had a long, DIRTY piece of plastic film running along the inside of the length of the entire roll. I used to love this place, and even recommend it to my friends, but I will never do so again. It’s hazard to the safety of your customers to be so careless in food preparation, and if a child had swallowed that, they could have choked and died. If you’re reading this, don’t waste your money.

I had multiple terrible experiences here. Food takes 30 minutes to prepare, yet they claim to be "fast-food". When I saw 2 parties get their food before me, even though they ordered after, I asked the manager why and she snapped at me and was very rude. First in First out!! When the food finally came out, it was nothing special. Sushi. I would go there again only if it was empty and that manager wasn't there. Would much rather How Do You Roll down the street though.
