California Chicken Grill

Came here when everything else seemed to be packed. Had a bad feeling when we were the ONLY customers AND the A.C. was not keeping up. However, I ordered the skinless chicken plate with yellow rice and chicken soup as the side and it was delicious. Chicken had a subtle flavor and a nice char while still being moist. The soup was homemade and I would have ordered more if I hadn't been full. (The addtl side price is 3.29, which seems slightly high to me) I was pleasantly surprised tho. It hit the spot. My husband got 20 wings. They don't sauce them for you which he thought was weird and the two cups of sauce they gave him for dipping wasn't enough. He said they were cooked well but had no other seasoning on them without sauce. He is very picky but said he would eat here again. Price of meal was on par with other restaurants. We were glad to find a haven from the crowds.

I ordered from this place for the first time tonight, and I must say I'm not impressed. $2 dollar delivery fee and $2 dollar tip, it took 1.5 hours to deliver, it was warmish when I ate it. When delivered the person delivering it never met me they showed up to my work and just left it at the desk for anyone to claim. Over all it was sub par food for an expensive price. I paid $14 for veggies that were not even green but oxidized to brownish color, not even a whole 2 pieces of burnt chicken, and some minute yellow rice. And I was so ready to like this place based upon their good reviews...

I have been a loyal customer of California Chicken Grill for over four years; typically ordering pick up or delivery at least once a week. The overall food quality and customer service has been deteriorating drastically over the last year. Tonight's experience ordering delivery crossed a line and they will no longer receive my business. My order arrived missing items, wrong, and the pita wraps were dripping wet in a mysterious brown liquid. I order the same wrap every time and never once has the wrap looked like that. My husband called and spoke to the manager. She was extremely rude and refused to believe that the wrap had anything wrong with it. We said we would drive the entire incorrect order back and asked that they remake our order correctly for us to pick up. The manager agreed to remake the order but she aggressively demanded that we return the incorrect order. When I got to Chicken Grill the manager went through the food I returned and then informed me that they didn't remake the order yet. At that point, I was over it and just asked for a refund. The manager didn't once apologize! The managers lack of concern and rude attitude, made it very clear to me that my business wasn't appreciated nor wanted.

The overall experience was very disappointing. It took nearly 10 minutes just to put my order in. I ordered chicken tenders and 3 beef tacos. They have a sign that says "chicken tenders take 10-15 minutes to make." My order took nearly 25-30 minutes and I was the only one in the place! Once I finally got my food, I just laughed. The chicken tenders were definitely frozen from a bag. Not to mention, they were burnt. I could have walked down to Winn-Dixie and got 25 for the same price and just popped them in my microwave. The beef in the tacos was also frozen and not fresh with no flavor whatsoever. Honestly save your money or just go somewhere else.

This was our 2nd time going to this place and the first time was decent. We ordered chicken tenders that took quite a while but were very good. My boyfriend ordered the same chicken tenders last night and it took AN HOUR!!! It was ridiculous! They said it would only take about 15 minutes. The poor girl working the counter had nothing to do with it. Another customer came in and ordered a smoothie and when she asked them they told her "go make it yourself" she didn't seem happy and they were jerks fooling around in the kitchen. After an hour of waiting we finally got our chicken tenders that tasted horrible! Frozen and thrown in the microwave is how they tasted! We are really upset because our first experience wasn't bad and we felt bad for the girl working.

We ordered lunch for eight people at the office. While we were waiting we called several times for status updates as several of our coworkers had meetings to attend. We were rudely told each time that the food would be there shortly. After the two hour mark the food arrived room temperature and missing items. The driver was polite, but the manager was impolite and refused to take any actions verbally or monetarily to make up for the ruinous nature of his stores service. Do not order delivery from here.

Used to be good... like ~3-4 years ago this was our go-to food when me and roommates were hungry at night. Last I had food delivered at work, portions got smaller, driver did not have a change for a $20 and my meal was like $12. I was in a hurry because I was at work but come on, you deliver food and no one's got a change? Also, the meal is subpar to what it used to be. I did not enjoy it. That was the last time ever and never looked back.
