Pita Pit

Food is alright for the money. Location is pretty grimey because of midtown and parking is a mess. The staff inside is super nice and helpful! I got a Souvlaki bowl with a ton of toppings (spinach, bell pepper, onion, sauces, tomato, and more) over brown rice. I wont lie the sauce was the best part of the whole bowl, the rest of it was just lacking flavor. It’s really just a bunch of toppings on some lightly seasoned chicken and rice. I’ve had better tasting and more authentic middle eastern around UF for sure. Maybe steer clear of the rice bowls but be sure to try it out, never hurt anyone!

I highly recommend this place! The workers are always so friendly and welcoming and you get so much quality food for a good price. Today I left pita pit and spilt my meal everywhere which was completely my fault but they came out straight away and offered to make me a whole new one which I thought was so awesome!!!!

I am normally a big fan of Pita Pit but this location has been let down, after let down. I visited this location earlier in the year and had food served to me at 11:30pm, their signage says open late and states the hours as open until 2 am every night, on Google it states the same. The past 9 times I've tried to patron this Pita Pit I have been met with locked doors and a dark store. Some may ask "Why I do not call beforehand to make sure that they are open?" Well I do call, almost every day, to see if I can get through and the phone is perpetually off the hook or always busy. There is no way for me to call in and order, nor call to set up catering, and the website says this location does not offer online orders. I've tried asking the employees why they are closed so often and why the phone doesn't work and they just shrug it off and state "We updated our hours, we close at 7pm every night." So I've tried to come at 6:35pm, 6:20pm, and 6:40 pm on separate nights just to be met each and every time with a locked store and no employees. On the wall in front of the store there is a large sign with big bold letters reading "OPEN LATE." The few times I was actually able to enter the store and order it was dimly lit, dirty, and the employees seemed as if I was inconvening them at every step of the ordering process. I've tried to contact corporate and am met with "It's an independently owned and operated business, sorry you didn't have a good experience, we will pass this down to the store owners they will get back to you." This is a warning for anyone who enjoys Pita Pit do not go here, please save yourself the time, money, and dissatisfaction. If I could I'd give this Pita Pit a 0/10 for poor employees, poor management, and poor store cleanliness.
