Hippy Chick Hummus

Fantastic lunch stop for a gluten-free vegan 😍 We ate in (very limited seating) and split a plate of nachos topped with a yummy chili. I got the Buddha Salad with curry hummus. I didn’t really taste the curry, but it was still great. All hummus is made with oil (I try to avoid oil which is why I mention it.)

Delicious and healthy! So much flavor without making everything overly oily! We ordered a buffalo cauli salad, roasted broccoli flatbread, and the sampler which included 3 types of hummus, veg and falafel. Nothing is deep fried and no processed vegan cheese, everything is in-house made. Prices are reasonable and overall we loved it!

I am a long time vegan and was visiting area. Picked and drove cross town to support this vegan restaurant due to the good reviews... didn't regret it but the food was just okay, very basic. Only plus was everything was very fresh and tasted "wholesome." I may be a bit spoiled living in major cities that have a wealth of vegan options and competition is fierce (AKA it has to be Amazing). If the price was not so outrageous for such a mediocre meal I would get it again if in the area but I would definitely not go out of my way to support them.

A++ Not only is the food amazing, which in and of itself is worth the visit, but the staff is everything and more that you would expect and want your local establishment to be. My best friend just moved to Frederick, so on moving day I ventured out to find lunch. I’m pescatarian, so imagine my delight when I found Hippy Chick Hummus. The owner was so gracious to give me a few extra cups so we could give the movers drinks. Shop Small Business and keep this gem where it belongs…. Downtown Frederick.

After months of enjoying their quality hummus from local retailers in Frederick, we finally made our way to the restaurant. Finding a local establishment who pours their heart into their food is always amazing, let alone making it healthy and giving you options for any dietary restrictions you might have. I got the Falafel Salad with their Jalapeño and Cilantro hummus and it was perfect.
