A Frederick Classic- knew we had to check it out! The Patti Melt with Fries did not disappoint! And Hubby had the Double Classic ~ both prepared as ordered. Juicy & tasty. Good fries, worth the splurge (calories and extra cost than just chips). A cozy, half subterranean row house restaurant - attentive wait staff Costs were very reasonable!

This place,TERRIBLE! 100% TOTAL thumbs down. The menu looked good but our food arrived BARELY room temperature. The ladies at the bar are friendly but mixed drinks are not their thing. If you’re not drinking bottled beer expect less than mediocre. Here’s the deal breaker, there are several older guys hanging at the bar, clearly “wags regulars” completely wasted stinking drunk and still being served. They made sitting at the bar VERY uncomfortable. The ladies knew the guys by their first names. I’m not sure if they’re employees but one was filling ice and the other was wiping down tables. One of the guys made reference to the crowd in town since it was Pride Day in Frederick, he stated that you couldn’t “swing a dead cat without hitting a homo” real classy place. Tall heavier woman with curly wavy blonde hair, pouring drinks for herself and her friends said she was done with all the “freaks” in town. A lot of randomness going on. The whole scene seemed unsanitary for a place that serves food. If you’re interested in a total dive bar to waste your money on bad drinks and bad food this is your bar. My suggestion to you would be, KEEP WALKING. Fredericks downtown bar and restaurant scene has so many better choices to choose from.

Wags is AWESOME. I'd never been and needed to grab some lunch so I hopped on in. I love the dimly lit atmosphere, it's cozy and enjoyable. I'm sure on a busy night it's a fun place to get together with friends to watch the game or hang out after a long day of work. For lunch, I got a classic cheeseburger since that's a great test of a burger place. Man, it was amazing. It was jammed with flavor and juicy. The fries were also fantastic. Honestly, it's a great place to pop in. They also do happy hour specials, so if you're looking to give them a shot then hop over after work. You'll definitely be back again and again.

Kudos to the overworked staff. Only two people in a bar that was packed for the lunch hour rush, and they were working so hard to take orders and get the food out. Got a burger and fries, which I'd heard good things about, but it was nothing special. The bun to burger ratio was extreme. Just a thin, rather bland burger patty. It was dry and overcooked even though I asked for it medium. Fries are $3 extra, and nothing about them merited the extra cost.
