Love coming across places “by accident”, needed a spot to kill some time before a dinner party and stopped into The Honeysuckle. Was greeted by one of the managers and grabbed a seat at the bar where Mary took excellent care of me. Decided on a cold draft (they have a number of local brews on tap) and spotted the oyster bar. Not many places offer a variety of oysters and this place had a good selection so I went with six Pemaquid from my birth State of Maine!!! These oysters have a distinct salty but very mild flavor…HIGHLY recommend them. Just my preference versus the sauces served, when you have high quality oysters like this homemade cocktail sauce and very fresh horseradish really enhance the flavors of the oysters. I have to visit this place again, the dinner menu looks incredible and Mary gave me an overview of the different items. I do know this is a great place to stop for a drink and appetizer, looking forward to enjoying dinner there real soon!

Very nice and cozy place, although a little pricey. I enjoyed shrimp and grits dinner, tiny little bit spicy but overall very tasty. My hubby ordered maple salmon and it was dry, very oily and a very tiny piece of fish. And our maple salmon dish looked nothing like on the picture here under tab Menu.

Food was good but service was not that great. They messed up our order at first and we waited on water and Diet Coke to get refilled a couple times. Just overall slow service, which was surprising as we had been here before and not experienced that.

Beautiful restaurant. Friendly staff, but seemed to be understaffed at the time of my visit. They were working hard, though, so I applaud that. All of the food was plated nicely, but the quality disappointed this southern foodie. We started with the biscuit board, and I’m 90% sure those were processed frozen biscuits. Not a homemade biscuit like granny would make. So we tried again with the pork belly mac-n-cheese. The pasta was cooked well and coated with ooey gooey cheese - awesome. The pork belly, however was the worst pork belly I’ve ever had. Next, we tried the hot chicken sandwich. Y’all, I was disappointed. Not only was it not “hot” or crispy, but it was served at room temp and it was very dry. The bread & butter pickles, duck fat fries, and jicama slaw were all very nice, though. The French toast was also a nice dish.

A date night at a new place is always interesting. The menu appears to be some of your same comfort foods, but the have a little different twist. The Fried Green Tomatoes are so good I could have just continued eating them for the evening. We had the meatloaf and wagu burger. The meatloaf is all piled into a flavor explosion for you taste buds. The burger was just mouth water falling apart with pimento cheese on it. Yes on it and some spicy bread and butter pickle top it off. The pimento cheese and pickle if not packaged for sale, should be! "Thanks for the response 5*"

Enjoy coming here for weekend brunch with friends. You can make a reservation to make sure to get a table. They have daily cheese and charcuterie boards for an appetizer. Also have southern themed foods like eggs Benedict on biscuits. If you haven't tried their hot rock seared meats you should give it a try. They have several gluten free options to keep you filled up. Great cocktails and fresh pressed juices from the bar as well.
