Fishkill Grille

I was unhappy with the food quality and wait time. The place was empty but I was told the cook was sick and not working as fast as usually was ? I was a bit concerned as I was already getting over a cold and I know most chefs/cooks can handle food a bit. The hamburger my tablemate got was ordered medium/well. When it arrived the bun was lifted to add catsup and it looked burnt and charcoal covered, my friend looked happy. My salad came with veggies I specifically asked not be included and salad wasn't fresh, no big deal, the blue cheese was good. As my friend took a bite of the hamburger only chewed once, the chewing stopped, the hamburger was looked at and the contents of my friends mouth ended up being spit back onto the plate. It was 20% well done and the inside was a grey raw. Again not a huge deal but cooking 101 is a press on the burger and it should feel like pressing your forehead for almost well. This was like more like your cheek. But either way not a huge deal. There were 2 other tables full and both tables had at least one dish each go back. And the food took much longer then youd think. Hell my soup and Salad took longer than the hamburger, lol. We asked it be re-cooked but my friend gave it to me to give my dogs. It seems the restaurant suffers from the same thing that the hotel does a severe lack of quality control and true hospitality. This place with a little caring could be much more than a room service restaurant.
