The Zingaro

They have some seriously delicious and creative comfort style food, (also some awesome staff members), but are inconsistent. This is due to poor management at the top level of the business. New employees are not trained sufficiently. Take it from an insider. This is why you'll see reviews here from opposite ends of the spectrum. It's a shame because when the food *is* done right, it's fantastic.

I had the Reuben and thought it was great but I need to go back and try some of the other stuff. The specialty here is meat (hamburgers, hot dogs, pastrami) made fancy but there are other interesting options. The guy in charge uses high quality ingredients to make good food. He is clearly excited about his menu, which I've found to be a good sign in an eating establishment.

Was excited to finally try this place out. First date night after having our 3rd child 4months ago. Waited 45min went and asked about our order that apparently was completely lost after taken by the owner. Horrible date night when the sitter calls and you never got to eat! Hope beer garden gets something quality in their place. I've managed food establishments. Things happen but this was overboard.

Please make things consistantly the same. The first time I had the Dungeness Crab pretzel, it was so yummy. Perfectly baked, soft, and plenty of crab. The 2nd time I was so excited and ordered on for my sister too because I told her it was so good. We were bummed. Burnt, hard cheese sauce, and barely any crispy crab on top. Super bummer.

Wow......first review ever!! I went to the beer garden for father's day with my family and decided to order food from Zingaro food truck. After a 45 minute wait I wondered if maybe they had forgot to place my order. I was really not that worried about it considering how busy it was but my family and I were on a schedule. I very politely walk up to a nice lady working at the truck and said, "I think you guys may have forgotten my order, my family and I are on a tight schedule can I get a refund?" The nice lady responds and says, "yes, we will refund your money but we would still like to make your food it will only take a minute". My exact response was " you don't have to do that but if you can do it fast thank you so much" again very polite!. 5 minutes later a man walks up to my table with the food where my family and I are seated and says sternly, "were you the one who just talked to my wife?!!!" I replied with "I'm not sure is there a problem?" He says "I'm the owner of the Zingaro food truck, be nicer to the staff next time!!". He slammed my food on the table, patted me on the back and walked away. Now I'm confused and taken back because my interaction with his staff was quite pleasant. So after stewing for a couple minutes I went back to the truck and asked what I had did to offend his staff. He replies "were you not the guy who insulted my wife, demanded your money back and told my staff you were going to just spend your money with the food cart next to us!!!!!? I replied "No, my interaction with your wife/staff was nice and I wasn't really that upset because I understand things happen and you are very busy". He replies "My bad I was someone different" very nonchalant. My jaw hit the floor. I respond with "Yes it is your bad and your actions are not ok". My name is Zack McLaren 30 years old, I am a eugene native and I operate a goods and services business as well, I also understand that it is impossible to please everyone but my interaction with the owner of the Zingaro food truck was unacceptable. I will never attempt to eat at this good cart again, I wish the Zingaro food truck the best of luck and hope this opens their eyes to embracing better customer service.
