Donuts

Not the greatest selection; BUT, owner is beyond the best. Stopped by Saturday afternoon, forgot its a cash only business. She approved my purchase and simply said "next time." Of course, my next time was Sunday morning. Dozen donuts, re-payment from Saturday and a warm heart doing business with old fashioned home town value. Where else???? Main Street, El Segundo!

Because of great reviews, I stopped by at 6:30am the other day. I was expecting the normal fare of donuts, but fresh (it was still early). They looked large and fluffy. But they were hard, like they were made the night before and had been sitting out all night. I find the donuts at Dough Boys on Imperial in ES much better.

This small, cash-only donut shop is a hidden gem in downtown El Segundo. The donuts are fresh every morning and the lady is super nice. The jelly filled donut was super delicious, with the donut being super light and fluffy and the bite of tart, fresh (real fruit) berry jelly. Mind-blown at how good the donuts were. This place cheaper than Krispy Kreme and 100 times better. Their original glaze is chef's kiss and my friend had a maple donut from both krispy Kreme and The Donut and said that The Donut was a lot tastier and flavorful. I woke up at 5am just to walk there before my flight at 8am. I was able to take home a piece of El Segundo wtih me.
