Cracker Barrel

Stopped in for a quick breakfast between appointments. The wait was estimated to be about 20 minutes. I gave my name to the server and headed to the restroom. It was very clean! I was texted and called by the automated seating notification. I was seated within 10 minutes, which was great for my personal schedule. The waitress, Nicole, was AWESOME! My food was great! The coffee cup stayed full! I will certainly be back!

I love coming here for the ambiance. The store located in the same building as the restaurant, carry many unique items all with an old fashion flare. Candies I haven't seen since childhood and reprint of old cookbooks are a few of the items one can find. Antique items are everywhere for display, a lot hanging from the ceiling. The restaurant offers plain food like chicken and dumplings, Pot roast with mashed potatoes, fried chicken, along with the many other simple foods found on the menu. NOT FANCY by any means but solid home-cooked food.

I was seated in a timely manner considering the pandemic. All staff members were very friendly and kind. The bathrooms were extremely clean. The seating was spaced according to cdc guidelines. The roast beef was so tender. My glass never reached halfway before they asked if i would like for them to refill it. My waitress, Shea , who by the way was amazing, suggested that i have the coke a cola cake. So i did, and let me say this was the best chocolate cake i have ever eaten, and i have eaten a lot.

Spend two days driving and one night in a nightmare hotel called diamond inn in Forrest city AR and got ZERO sleep. I read online people sometimes can camp overnight at cracker barrels so I headed to the first one near me (I need to sleep bad) pulled in without asking being unaware that most people ask first. So I called and presented one of the employees with the situation and asked if I could please camp and I am so thankful to the nice people here for letting me catchanap. Extremely nice and I will hopefully be able to have some breakfast in the AM. It's not only the least I can do but I'm in the back here and whatever they are cooking smells GREAT! GOODNIGHT AMERICA.
